Unable to finish Plucked Fruit Quest

Hi. I am unable to complete the Plucked Fruit quest. I've believe the next step is for me to catch Rongi down at the beach at midnight doing something with the fruit, but he never appears down at the beach. Is there something I have missed? Thanks.

    Once you know he goes there you should be able to find him. He might even go there before you gather clues, I dunno. Just to make sure you look at the right place:

    Around midnight he should leave his hut and go to the isolated corner of the beach SW. Here is a radom german walkthrough I found which shows the location:

    If you can't find him there, you might want to send over your save for the devs to investigate.
