I love playing this game on my Mac but the last three updates have each left me with the situation where I cannot loadany of my recent saved games due to missing DLC. The latest claims I am missing both the in app purchases Beast of Winter and Seeker,Slayer, Survivor despite the fact that I have never purchased these add ins.

On the previous two missing DLC bug releases I have had no choice but to go back to a much earlier saved game position and start again. Needless to say this is getting pretty frustrating and so I thought would reach out to the community for help.

I have tried emailing MacPlay on each of the two other occasions this has happened but have never gotten any form of response from them.

I see from other threads that this is not the first time people have asked for help with this issue but the other posts all reference other versions and I have seen some work arounds posted but ... this does seem to be becoming a recurring issue with this game

Hello Bob,

I'm sorry this update did this to you as well.  Can you send us a screenshot of the title menu that shows the game version at the top right as well as one of the saves so we can take a look at it and get Apple this information so they can help us resolve this on MacPlay?  If it doesn't attach here, could you send it to me at support@obsidian.net along with your forum user name and a link to this thread as a reference?  If needed, you can find instructions on how to find your save files here.

Thank you Bob.  I'm sorry this happened to you again and we will do what we can to get this resolved.

I also am having the DLC issue with missing LAXF notation on the save files.  I have purchased all DLC content and get this now for my last 5 or so saves.

Hey Rperdue,

What operating system are you using and what platform are you using to play Deadfire.  LAXF is an update to the base game that just needs to be updated to the latest version which should be v3.1.1.  I can see about potentially sending you the folder that has LAXF, but it depends on the OS and platform.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Just a quick update to this issue.

Obsidian requested I email them example game files which I did. They subsequently got back to me to request some additional files that Apple had requested. Unfortunately each time I have tried to send the PLIST files Apple requested I have received a delay notice and subsequent failure notice from Gmail, my email provider. The error Gmail reports is "TLS Negotiation failed: generic::failed_precondition: starttls error (0): protocol error".

I am trying to send the files one more time as clearly the first game files were sent and received successfully. If this third attempt fails I will use and alternate non-Gmail email account to send the files.

Thanks to the efforts of Samuel Chin & Apple my issue has now been resolved and I am back in the game :-
