Do we know how PL effects Summoned Weapons?

I was thinking about a Fury/Devoted using Firebrand, and at base you can count on the following Penetration:

7 Base
1 Fury
2 Devoted
1 Scion of Flame

11 Penetration isn't bad, but the weapon should scale to higher (supposedly). Just wanted to know by how much, and if it was worth investment.

Yes. They scale with character level, not class level.

5 = fine. 10 = exceptional. 15 = superb. 20 = legendary.

They have the default attack speed, recovery, damage range and penetration of their weapon type.

That goes for all summoned weapons. Then they have their unique thing. Firebrand's thing is that is does fire, and it can get +1 pen from Scion of Flame. Not quite as extravagant as in PoE1, sadly.

Thanks!

At least it gets the +1 from Fury though. The Priest Weapons don't currently, right? Worst case scenario I pump Religion and run The Twin Eels, with the Devoted's bonus crit' damage as well as that from Killer's Gloves.

I have no idea if Fury's extra elemental penetration works with Firebrand. My first guess is no. I don't think I've seen it discussed anywhere. You should probably check with a hired adventurer real quick before deciding on a build :D

Also, Killer's Gloves' +10% crit dmg is a mere +10% additive dmg when you crit, when you're already rolling in ... +100% and more additive damage. It'll probably end up being like ~4% more damage... basic Accuracy gloves should be better, if you don't want any of the str gloves.

Sadly, you're right. That's disappointing. It has the Elements keyword, so it should, but I guess that saves me the trouble of making the build.

If I'm going to invest in such a build, I prefer the Priest spell list, so I guess this just makes it easier now that there's no +1 Penetration benefit to Furies for Firebrand.

Shame.

EDIT: Bug report submitted.

The spell may have the Elements keyword, but the sword itself doesn't, so attacks with the sword don't gain the Fury's extra penetration. But +10 accuracy on every attack (with the ring of focused flame) is great -- that plus the lash, and the burn damage type, make it a pretty good weapon. And you could switch to another greatsword when facing a burn-immune enemy.

The problem is that the druid side doesn't really help much with a weapon-focused build. I still want to use the sword, but my next attempt is going to be by using scrolls of firebrand (cheap to craft, and only require 2 arcana to cast). A devoted/paladin would still have access to Scion of Flame, for example. Or maybe a Psyblade, though I don't think they get Scion of Flame. Just waiting to see if Obsidian does something to improve full attacks for two-handed weapons in 2.1 before I start it.
