Expectation: After reaching Ukaizo for the first time, the Guardian is supposed to attack after dialogue.

 

Actual: If I proceed straight forward, nothing will happen and I can proceed to other areas of Ukaizo. If I approach what looks like the guardian on the left hand side (see screenshot), the dialogue will begin. However, when the conversation ends and the battle should begin, nothing happens except I can see a white circle just above the guardian (see screenshot). Also, if I approach the upper left or right hand sides of the dock/platform, i can see what looks like an animat mob climbing out of the water and then disappearing, then the animation restarts. I can attack them, but killing any before they disappear doesn't initiate any larger battle with the Guardian.

 

I tried reloading an earlier game before sailing through the storm, but the same result occurred. I play via Steam, so I should be using the most current version.

Thirded. I'm experiencing the exact same situation on GOG (V2.0.0.0030). 

 

Although my Maia is bugged out with permanently 0hp thanks to the Neriscyrlas beam attack bug, not sure if that affects anything.

Guardian does not show up for me either. I can even walk right past him without any dialogue triggering whatsoever. When I move to the western part of the map the dialogue for an invisible, white circled guardian triggers, but it never enters the fight. It does spawn a small army of animats, but after that nothing anymore.

This is the exact same for me... I just want to beat it! lol I went back from muitiple saves and never got it to work. I sure have loved my time playing this though so I'll be patient.
