Theb
Hello, I couldn't find an answer for this online so I decided to post in here. Hopefully somebody will know. Are spell-chance triggers exclusive to weapon auto-attacks ? Or can they be triggered from spell hits/crits also? Does it make any difference if the spell is damaging or not? I've been looking for cool wands and read about Curoc's Brand, which has 10% chance to cast Combusting Wounds on Hit or Crit, and I was wondering if it may trigger from spell hits. I'm using Aloth almost exclusively as a debuff wizard and have been using Combusting Wounds often, given that my main char is a Barb. Having this trigger from debuffing (non damaging )spells could save me some resting time! Thanks for reading ot: Doing a 5-man PotD in preparation for Deadfire and suddenly all this game-mechanics stuff is important. About to start scaled White March pt.1 and I'm all jumpy about deadly Lagufaeths.
Jaheiras Witness
It’s a chance when using that item, which means you have to be attacking with it (in this case, only when using the wand, not casting spells)
Boeroer
Correct. But Blast hits (the area of effect explosion that Wizards can add to all implements) do count. So a Wizard with Blast can trigger on-hit or on-crit effects pretty often. Even more so if he uses Deleterious Alacrity of Motion before attacking.
