[BUG] Cannot create new character

I've been itching to play a new character but the game does not let me start a new game. 

 

Issue: Character creation does not let me proceed past gender choice, since latest patch (do these things get tested? geez).

 

I start a new game, blabla, enter character creation. I can choose male/female (the picture changes). I can click the "Next" button, which lights up, the picture zooms in - but it does not proceed to the next window.

 

Extremely frustrating cause I've tried a bunch of things to fix it, incl reinstall, remove mods, fullscreen/windowed, change resolution, disable steam overlay.

I've had the exact same issue. No mods installed or anything, just cannot get past the sex choice in character creation. Incredibly frustrating as I cannot start any new runs whatsoever.

For now ive worked around by using the unity console mod from nexusmods. Load an early save, change name,changerace class etc, save and you have a "new" character.
