Hello,

 

I purchased this game via Steam and I am running 64 bit Windows 8.1.  All of my other Steam games are running fine (including Pillars of Eternity.)  When I click to play the game the icon shows up in the task bar and I hear the intro music.  When I hover over the icon in the task bar I get the mini display showing the palm trees and a dialog box (which is too small to read).  I alt-tab between any open programs to try to pull it up but only ever get audio or the mini display.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled a few times and my graphic settings all appear to be normal.  

 

I tried to upload my system info file, but got the error message 'You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file.'  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I really want to play this game!

For the files use https://www.sendspace.com/ the forum is a bit to strict.

Also include the output.log. See the sticky for the location of that.

Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode? Also, try disconnecting/disabling any external/secondary monitors, that sometimes helps when a game is clearly running but can't open to full screen.
