I tried doing the deal with Menzaggo where the slavers provide him with kith. Choosing this dialogue option immediately ended the Splintered Reef quest. But then I can't talk to Kua about it. Additionally, I killed the Wahaki leaders for Kua. But the option to ask him for advice and the option to tell him about having killed them won't go away.
I'm not doing these quests for any faction (my Watcher has made enemies of everybody except the slavers and Menzaggo).
