Not sure this was noticed, since I first responded to another post from 22 May, but the island in the southwest of the map can still easily produce infinite gold.
Adragojlovic suggested it had been patched in 1.1, but when I passed through (playing 1.1) I could still easily produce infinite gold by starting a conversation, selecting the option for them to give me a reward, then refusing to join their camp. The camp remains, and clicking on it again starts the conversation over, including producing another 2000gp reward.
