Is it just me, or am I the only one wanting some sort of combat training in game so that I can play around with various spells and abiltities?

With so many abilities / skills / spells and the compounding effects from items, potions ect, it would be good to have time to explore the many ways in which you can buff a character, use items, or different spells and skills to better refine your combat experience. There isn't any other opportunity to do this in the game, and you have to wait until you encounter combat, which can take away from the story line when you are constantly stopping and reading all the small text, and reloading the game to get the best out of your playability of a character in combat.

It would be awesome if something was build into the story line to allow this, like a Wizard / Conjurer who could constantly conjure creatures / kith relative to your explored bestiary.

You can always use the console to spawn enemies and give you levels, items and abilities as you wish. I know no better way to test stuff in PoE or Deadfire.

you can test something on your party , just made the first attack manually towards one member of your party then they will fight.

Or even just go inside a inn and attack someone . Then, after your test , reload a previous save
