Pallegina is using Flames of Devotion.  She has Vielo Vidoro and Intense flames which modify that feat but aren't the point of my question.

 

The question I have is that when I use FoD with Pallegina it is buffing her allies instead of herself.  The FoD should last about 7 seconds and give her +20% attack speed, burn, and accuracy.  But during the battle I see icons saying it is buffing her allies (Eder and my monk Main Character) rather than herself.  Do I misunderstand this ability or is something 'weird' going on?

No, it is how it works. Same for Shielbearer shielding flame.

 

And FoD Accuracy and fire bonus only applies to the caster, and only for the initial attack.
