I have the enchant and it says it gives % chanceto resist enemy spells (specifically enemy spells). Yet I find my party resisting friendly spells as well (no other SR source). 

It says incoming spells in the ability description, not enemy spells. However this ability is really annoying and can cripple some playstyles that rely on self buffing. If it is not a bug and it was actually intended to work this way, it should at least be clarified in the description better.

No, it actually says it gives allies in radius a chance to resist enemy spells (in Polish version). In English it says it resists incoming spells.

 

Whoever did the Polish version should never do translations ever again as there is a ton of similar mistakes.
