Hi, Most have found the 4.11 drivers work the best. I think if your going back to 3.9 you miss out on some options like "light bloom". For future there is a sticky topic on ATI Cards where this should be. Think yourself lucky you've got the game running at all Cheers,

Hi, I'm using Cat 5.2 drivers but with the 4.11 driver dropped in the KOTOR directory and the game is running like a dream. However i still have the black line down the middle of the faces. Anyone solved this old KOTOR 1 bug yet?

This seems to be a sound issue check the sticky thread titled SOUND. People have generally solved it using different soundcard drivers - normally older ones.

Hey, This seems to be a sound issue. If you search you'll see older threads that deal with this problem. I had it when using my Plantonics Headset but ever since i changed to my Realtek Sound Card on my Motherboard it starts fine. I have also checked it with my old SB live! card and it works too. Do a search as there are many possibilities to try and get the game going. Cheers,

Hi, Anyone else had any problems when gaining LS/DS points or Levelling up when your whole party's alignment reverses? Basically i an playing LS atm and the more i gain points the reverse happens to my companions. It's as if the game has been programmed to update the npc alignment as 1- yours. However this is not a problem with the amount of influence i have but what it does to the npc's. I have tried using addlightside/adddarkside for my character and the more light i got the more dark they do and vice versa. But when they are DS their conversation to me reflect my LS status. It's pretty annoying when you are LS and all your NPC's look like death <_< Any help much appreciated

Hi, I'm running an ATI 9600 Pro @ 1280 x 1024 and Ati's Opengl driver 4.11 in the KOTOR2 directory. Other than my initial bug of not starting - due to using Plantronics Headset the game runs well except for the annoying windowed mode that it starts in. I have checked the config file and fullscreen is 1 - any ideas people? I have had no problems with textures and am running 2AA, 8AF, Vsync, Shadows, Grass , Frame Buffer effects. I find running 4.11 is better than 5.2 @ same spec. Cheers,

Hi, My game now loads (w00t)! It was due to a SOUND issue with my plantronics headset - the game sits as a background service. Upon changing to my old Creative SB live it loads up. Unfortunately in a window <_< Gonna scout round a bit to see if this prob has been sorted too......

Hi, I seem to have solved my problem i.e. it loads (w00t) I haven't tried anything else as i thought i should post my success and reasons why it worked this time. It was a SOUND problem. I am running both a Plantronics USB Headset and a SB Live (old i know ) and for some reason it only works with SB Live. Just thought this might help some people. Hi, I've managed to install the game - got past the installshield problem by turning off norton auto-protect. Unfortunately, when i execute the program the launcher loads (and works) but nothing happens when i click "Game". It seens like it wants to start as the cursor changes to the busy icon but then nothing - resulting in having to manually shutdown the sevice in System Processes. I'm running an ATI 9600 Pro and have tried: Catalyst 4.2 / 4.11 / 4.12 / 5.1 / 5.2 drivers Renaming wnaspi.dll in System 32 folder Uninstall / Reinstall several times. My system meets all the required spec - all green when checked. It's really annoying especially as i just finished KOTOR1 the previous day to prepare myself " Any help much appreciated. Thanks,
