  1. For clarification on moardib's test, for digital music, the maximum frequency recorded is slightly less then half of the sampled frequency. So, that would put the top recorded frequency around 15kHz or (more likely) even lower. With Lucasarts (who has the advantage of being part of the company that CREATED THX) doing this recording, its shocking to me that someone at LA would allow this to happen. As moardib pointed out, I personally feel that saving a couple megabytes is a very poor justification to destroy this music like this. As a recording technician, I would also feel upset if my work was presented in mono. A great deal of work went into creating a powerful soundtrack, and I implore Obsidian/Lucasarts to rectify this mistake and give us a soundtrack worthy of all previous Star Wars soundtracks that have gone before.
  2. Did anyone catch that the main page says "Rebuplic" instead of "Republic"? I just find that kind of ironic...but I am very excited to **hopefully** be able to play at last!
  3. Short list: 1.) On Dantooine, while I am playing, I am unable to load a savegame. I can load from the main menu, but when trying to load in game it freezes and kicks me out of the game. Can't even switch to a different section of Dantooine. 2.) On Dantooine, the frames per second are SLOOOOWW, but when I go the graphics menu and change a setting like AA, it resets the screen and its much better. 3.) Swoopbike racing doesn't record scores properly when you beat a record time. 4.) The main section of Telos really chugs compared to the rest of it...still playable, but there has to be something that slows it down that much. Those are ones that i've noticed...using a Radeon 9600 pro, fyi...
  4. I was enjoying the game, and aside from my swoop racing times not being recorded, I encountered very few problems until I started Dantooine. The FPS dropped to almost nil, but when I changed a graphic setting that reset the screen, it went to normal. But now I can't load savegames while playing. I can load them from the main screen, but not in a game. I can't even seem to go into other areas on Dantooine now. Why are there so many problems with recent games? Lucasarts and OE had TWO MONTHS after the Xbox release to tweak and fix. Did everyone take a vacation to Aruba? Between KOTOR II and Battlefront, lucasarts has put out some awesome games lately, but both have suffered HUGE compatability issues. I am a huge Star Wars fan, and between Kotor, Kotor 2, and Battlefront, these are some of the most enjoyable and most addicting games I've ever played, but after the last two releases, i'm starting to lose my faith in Lucasarts games. PLEASE fix this game, and make sure your new releases are finished BEFORE you release them to the general public. NOTE FOR OE: I REALLY enjoyed Neverwinter Nights as well...please do a better job of debugging NWN2 before you release it...
  5. Has anyone experienced a bug in the swoop racing where it lets you race, and you place within the top 4, but it doesn't record your score? I AM racing, not practicing, and I beat the 3rd and 4th place guys and it won't post my score. Also, I was standing talking to the sullustan outside the cantina on Telos and Kreia started twitching and jumping back and forth across the screen...not a big deal, but I figured i'd mention it...
