  1. The patch was probably cancelled, or they never did plan to release one in the first place. Remember The Chronicles of Riddick? They promised a patch and 4 months after release, there is no patch. I'm not saying that LucasArts will act as Vivendi Universal did, but most likely, they will.
  2. Maybe LucasArts wants to delay the patch as much as possible so that Xbox people don't ask for a patch as well? (and don't get pissed for that matter) Considering the game on Xbox is pretty buggy too... That would be a possibility considering they got our money, now they don't care about the customer support. Or Obsidian is simply lying and do not care at all, they put only a few people working on the patch and the mass are working on NW2: the next big cash entry! About George Lucas, I don't think he even knows every game that is released by LucasArts, I think LA is handled completely separatly from the movie section. He probably knows about the Episode III video game but that's about it in my opinion. I believe that the movies are what really matters to him, the other things do not matter much: they are just some great marketing tool that allows him to gain much money and hence make the movies he wants to.
  3. They probably don't have a full team working on it, it's the only explanation I can find. Remember when they were only 5 devs left working on the PC version after the Xbox one was released? (really sad when you see in what state the game what released) Well I don't see why they would put more people working on a patch that grants them no additional money when they already banked our cash. Imo, they got most of their team working on NW2 and a very small group of devs working on a patch.
  4. Anyone else found out that the dialogues for aliens went too fast? My native language isn't english so maybe that's why. Anyways, I still found that some aliens spoke too fast, so is there any mods out there to fix that? Imo, it should be clickable so that you click when you are done reading, maybe a new option... I hope they can fix that in the patch!
  5. Maybe they fired the person who did this? Since they are hiring new people? Shrug...
  6. Haha ya they should do that since that's what they basically did with the game itself. We did their beta testing
  7. I think 4.11 are best from what I read, and I am using these. I think I had more slowdowns with 5.12 but I didn't test them in open areas though. And that's where there is the most lag from what I heard.
  8. Dunno WTF they are doing right now, it's been almost 3 weeks since PC release and no patch yet. I'm no programmer but does it take that long to make a patch?
  9. Actually, it was playable but on certain Intel Chipset there was a memory leak which caused the game to slowdown... Still, it seems to me that Bioware was faster.
  10. Gee, even their forums are bugged! I got an error message when trying to post, hence the double post...
  11. Who was the fastest to release their first patch? I think Bioware was very fast to release their first beta patch... But it looks like Obsidian want to take their time and fix all the bugs (um well good luck). Honestly, I doubt they will ever be able to fix them all. Imo, they want to release a single patch so that they are done once and for all with it! It seems to me that they want to leave that project as fast as possible, now that they got their money. Afterall, even with all the complaints, they did VERY well since the game even beat WoW in the UK! So if money is all they care about, they managed to do an excellent job. They will never release added content or improved music/video, that's for sure. Now I would say that Obsidian should take example on Valve, I mean, everytime I start Half-Life 2 there is a new thing to download! And the game didn't even need a patch in the first place. And I'm sure Valve is making a lot of money right now, so LucasArts please take example on them! I don't know really, I think the game market today is weird, on one hand, they rush games and on the other hand, they take years to release some project... (HL2, Duke Nukem Forever)

  13. I would give the game around 8.5, probably less considering the bugs, but since I'm a fan of first one, I got over them. Now I would say that the first one deserved a 9.5, so that's still way higher than the second one. I would lie saying that I didn't enjoy Kotor 2 but it's always frustrating to think of what the game could have become if they had have more time. Of course the ending was the worst... You just go off to Malachor 5 without any answer, without knowing why or what's happening. But some stuffs are completely impossible for me to understand, like the poor music and video encodage, maybe they wanted to save space in order not to add another 5th CD? I didn't find any clear answer on that. And Obsidian isn't even answering to ANYTHING on their own boards. Well, I will think twice before buying a Obsidian or LucasArts product next time!
  14. I think you need to repair T3 but how high skill do you need for it?
