  1. You can simply replay the previous missions so the new character get the corresponding rewards.

     

    This also works when playing the missions in higher difficulty.

     

    For exemple I played with 3 characters until the end of adventure 2 (the skinsaw masscre), and then I added a fourth character.

     

    I then played the first adventures again directly in heroic difficulty, and the new character did get the adventure rewards, including the skill/power/card feats without having to play the normal difficulty again.

     

    Of course if you want an easier time you can also simply replay on normal difficulty with your experienced party.

  2. Didn't you see the card reward for Kyra appear and fly outside the top of the screen, if yes this it's a  known bug ?

     

    If so the bug is supposed to be fixed in the next patch, but there is already a workaround.

     

    First quit the game and try to continue your quest, you should get back to the start of the rewards.

     

    This time, select the rewards for the two lower level characters, but *before* you click on the continue arrow in order to to get to select Kyra reward, first click on Kyra herself to select her (at this time she should still be in red but you can still select her).

     

    Only then when she is pre-selected can you click on the continue arrow, this time you should be able to select her reward.

    Yeah, especially since currently Loot is bugged and doesn't show in you respective card type filters in Deck Rebuild.

     

    Starting with AD4, if one of your characters find themselves short on weapons (you didn't pick up new weapons and a character banished a weapon/gained weapon card feat), you *should* be able to pick up the Impaler right from the box (the 'Vault'). Let's hope this is not something they overlooked in coding, the way they did with the Rebuild Deck filters.

  4. A week later and my quest mode is still utterly unplayable due to the reward card shooting off the screen when you try to turn it over.

     

    Any eta on a fix for this? Not pleased on spending $25 for a game that is half (actually more since quest mode is the main way of attaining gold) broken.

     

    This should be fixed in the patch that is about to be released, but there is already a way to solve your problem.

     

    Your problem should be linked to a party with heroes of different levels. You first select the lower level reward normally, this one should work, but then do not click yet on the blue "continue" arrow to the right of the screen. Select the higher level her, the one with the bug, and only when he is selected (he should still be in red, but with a small aura), then you click continue. This time the reward card should display correctly

    Welcome to the forums and thanks for joining us! Have you tried performing the work around? http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86659-quest-mode-reward-bug/?do=findComment&comment=1807931

     

    If you have done so and the work around isn't working, then you'll have to wait for the 1.0.3 patch which will be released this week. The fix is retroactive, so once the patch is out, you will be able to collect your rewards normally. Let me know if the workaround worked if you haven't done so already.

    Looking through the workaround, it seems that the only things they did were select different random rewards, which I've already tried (I've now tried every random card for the monk). No luck.

     

    When is the new patch supposed to drop? I find I enjoy Quest far more than the story mode, and I'd love to be able to play again.

     

     

    No it's not about selecting a different reward, it's about selecting a different *character*

     

    First you select the reward for the low level character, this part should work. The problem is when you click the "continue" arrow to the right, the new reward for the higher level hero go outside the screen and is no clickable.

     

    The trick is that you must select the higher level character *before* clicking the continue arrow.

     

    In short :

     

    1- select reward for lower level hero, do not click continue yet

    2- select next hero, the one of a higher level whose reward has the problem (this hero should still be in red, but an aura should then appear on him to confirm that he is selected)

    3- click continue

    4- the reward for the selected hero should this time display correctly in the middle of the screen and be clickabe as usual to continue.

  6. In a mixed quest I am geting a bug that has rendered the mode unplayable, even with forced reloads.

     

    I have six characters who are, after having leveled up, 10, 10, 9, 9, 4, 4. The problems occurs when the game tries to award my levels.

     

    The first two cards for each of the 4s are delivered (a pair of allies, then a free choice), then it goes to the spells (I think it's spells) for the level 9s. Regardless of which character I select first, the card appears not on screen but well above it. I can see the glow from the bottom of the card, but it is too high to tap. This happens every time. Since this process does not time out, and since only one Quest can be active at a time, this mode is now currently dead for me.

     

    I can't tell if this issue is addressed in the upcoming patch. Maybe the note about some characters not being eligible for a card? If not, please let me know if there's any further information I can provide to help.

    It seems fixed according to the patch notes see the part about "Progression Break when unable to acquire Rewards"

     

    Meanwhile there is a workaround that should allow you to continue without having to wait for the patch :

    get the rewards for the low level character as usual, but when the last one had been chosen, do not click the "continue" arrow  at the right of the screen, first select one of the higher levels characters (one whose reward keep going outside the screen).

    Only once the other character is selected (he should still be in red, but get a small aura showing that you selected him or her) then you click the continue arrow, the reward should then be positionned at the correct place.

     

    It worked for me each time that I got the bug and allowed me to get my full rewards and continue my quest with the same group.

  7. I had the same problem (card flying out of screen), and was able to solve it using the following solution : 

     

    => select the reward for the lower character as normal, but after that don't click immediatly on the "continue" arrow, you must first click on one of the other heroes to select it (even if the hero is red, you should see his aura change slightly to mark it as selected) and only then click the arrow, the reward for this hero and the following should this time be correctly positionned and selectable.

Same here, I changed my party composition by switching a hero with Lini, and during the reward, the lini part is ok (going to level 2, one card of a type of my choice, this one works), but when I then click on one of the others characters (level 7, I think that it's supposed to be an item), the card goes outside the screen and cannot be clicked anymore.

     

    If I click the card quickly when it appears, it seems that it is revealed, as I can see the bottom of the card glowing on the top of the screen but I still cannot click it a second time to close and continue so I'm stuck and must kill the app.

     

    (Android 5 on Galaxy Note 4)

    Do you know per chance if there is new about season pass failing to unlock ? I tried everything mentionned here on the forums (and fixed the log in problem by doing a sync), but the bundle that I paid for unlocked nothing. I wrote to support as instructed but got no answer since. Is there a chance this next patch might fix that too ?

  10. If we ignore the known problems with quest mode and my season pass not unlocking anything, the game works fine on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 too, and the bigger screen ('compared to other phones like the S4 above) means that the text size is fine too for those that wonder.

     

    Now I'm just waiting for a patch to fix the problems and I will be able to finally enjoy the game  :yes:

There is indeed a rule allowing several characters to each roll a check, but it's only when you encounter a bane that has multiple checks, and by multiple I do not mean that you have a choice of different skills, but of needing to make several checks (instead of a "or" beetween the checks, you have a "then").

     

    I think that the only cases in the Rise of the Runelords are on some Villains.
