I was utterly slaughtered at level 9 in the fight, then returned and won at level 11. I used that Cipher spell that causes Domination and Mass-Charm to buy time (had to move my Cipher way back, or the vamps would charge her first and kill her first before she got it off). I also immediately cast the high level Priest spell, Prayer against Bewilderment, to keep the charms off. Even then the fight was very close, as Raedric regenerates fairly quickly, so I wasted a lot of damage on him. I advise using lots of AoE spells during the Charm/confusion phase (which didn't last long), and lots of 'enemy-jumping' spells like Chain Lightning. I didn't try the Mass Petrify spell, though I won the final battle by using it.

Hi Everyone, I've been pretty dispirited in the last few days. I was having a great time playing on Hard with a Paladin PC, 1 Priest Custom Adv, Grieving Mother, Aloth, Eder, and Hirav. They're all on the cusp of 10th level. I was challenged, but never had any real problems. However, now I've reached Twin Elms and am completely unable to do anything in 3 large combats: the return to Raedric's Hold, the Dragons, and the Ogre Bounty. I am cut apart and massacred by the former 2, with roughly 75% of my spells missing (thus my casters useless), and my fighters only scoring grazes, and everyone but my Paladin and Fighter failing almost every spell effect resistance. The ogre fight just entails my party being overrun, surrounded, and all killed. My Paladin has good defense and always stays alive long after the rest of the party, but does very little damage on his own. It's been really discouraging, as I've done almost every Side Quest and thus don't have many opportunities for further XP gain. I'm a veteran of many RPGS, including both BGs, Dragon Age, and many others, all of which I beat on Hard. I literally don't know what to do now- have I done something very wrong, or am I missing something? Do I just need to find some way to level to 10? Has anyone else had this issue at all?
