  1. A good story will leave minor things open ended on both sides questions about what happened before (allusions to the clone wars in ANH, mandalorian wars in KOTOR), and what happens next (ending to KOTOR and ESB). This gives a sense you are experiencing a snapshot of a living universe rather than a structured story. "There is another" was done almost in passing, most people who saw the movie probably didn't catch it the first time. "Why didn't you tell me?" was more philisophical, not something at the end of the movie that I was burning to know. Luke calling out to Leia was something that more piqued my interest. These things left the movie open-ended but they were interesting side notes that not tied directly into the main plot. The story telling of KOTOR2 placed alot of emphasis on open ended plot threads, begging for them to be answered. If ESB was presented like KOTOR 2 those open threads would have been as follows: "There is another" - changed to "No Leia will save the galaxy" "Luke I am your father" - some long speech about the duality of the universe ending with Vader saying - Obiwan didn't tell you, you exist because I chose the darkside. Luke falls, cut to scene of falcon flying away, roll credits
  2. This felt so much like matrix 2, it asked alot of interesting philisophical questions, but then did nothing really with those questions and added a lot of "WTF" illogical hanging plot threads. 1) Revan's attacks were intended to strengthen the Republic against "something" 2) Mirra was important "somehow" - with token challenge at the end that was meaningless 3) The Sith ritual - okay what was that about? 4) Sion, Nihilus, Atris - all students of Kreia and failures? A little more insight into how each proved a failure would have been nice. Best I could make out was Atris embraced the light side, and Sion embraced the dark. Nihilus? 5) The "main" plot, seemed at first that every so often, the both Jedi & Sith had to be purged from the universe leaving only 1 to define the future of the galaxy (which would tie in nicely with the movies); but then it becomes just Kriea's hate for the force. 6) What did it matter if Malachor V survived or not? For a 40 hour game I loved it for 38 hours, the ending just fell to crumbs.
  3. I think in the final conversation, one of the thread options is along the lines of "You will die, and Malachor will survive" I think if you choose that one (I also was DS aligned) then after you're done with Kreia nothing happens. Probably if you choose the thread "you and the plant will die" it probably gives you the other ending. The ending was so disappointing, given how great the rest of the story was. At least ESB had a catharsis, it didn't just go to credits after Luke went off the platform. There were scenes that transitioned you from the climatic battle to a "calm point." I found the silver crystal I believe in the museum (on the civil war planet), i believe I got the blue one off a merchant.
