How about we focus on something productive, as in a solution to this whole thing? One that will please everyone? 1- Raise awareness through the means of a sticky here and on the steam forums about the user-made mod that removes the offending content. That way, people can tailor their own, private experience without interfering with the game of other people; 2- Put in a toggle to remove all backer content for those that wish for a more official means of removing it. This has the added bonus of allowing everyone who doesn't want backer content in their game to have their way. Do both and I'm sure no one will have anything else to complain about. Right? Any objections to this?

I'm going to explain this once, which you will no doubt ignore. How high is the possiblity of there being an actual killing spree against men by "SJWs"? Ok, how many times has the panic defense actually been used by murder defendants? Also, are you going to post here again or did you make an account just for that? So, you are saying #KillAllMen is just a joke, and as such, we should ignore or laugh at it...? You know what else is a joke? The poem in question. Why not apply the same logic to it?

Changing this to appease the internet censors will be a slippery slope that will curb your creative freedom to write stories as you see fit and prevent you from exploring any themes that might be "offensive" to someone, somewhere on the planet. Say goodbye to dark, mature themes in your games, for instance, lest we might anger the perpetually angry. I don't like any of the backer content myself, as I find it varies wildly in quality (more often than not falling into the fanfic territory), but I'd rather not tailor the game to suit me since I know some people out there enjoy it. One thing I would be all for is a toggle to turn off all backer content in the options menu, but this is something that will very likely be modded anyway at some point.

The 40k setting is so incredibly rich and detailed. Maybe when PoE is released and gets massive praise (and money) that will show Games Workshop that there is money to be made in this genre. I mean, Games Workshop is losing profits on the tabletop front, and they seem to be diversifying the 40k licenses for videogames (space hulk, that android game-ported-to-PC, Eternal Crusade and that one during the Armaggeddon war). Clearly games are looking more and molre appealing to them - or so I hope. I would kill for a game set during the Horus Heresy (I could really see a space 4X game set during this time period). Or a Republic Commando type of game where you get to play as a Commissair. Or a stealth game where you play a Callidus or Vindicare assassin. So many options... But yeah, an RPG would be the best, possibly in third person with a lot of dakka to go around (a full blown Mass Effect RPG, I guess).
