  1. Unique life indeed. Look at the things she did in PoE1:

    - go down the shaft in the ogre cave

    - sleep in the inventory while the party fought against dragons

    - have fun while the elevator was fixed in Durgan's Battery tower

    - stay quiet while sneaking in Adaryc's camp

    - survive drowning in the end of WM2

    - jump into the pit in Burial Isle

And she was just a baby. Imagine what she'll do in Deadfire.

She's going to end up like Ciri from the Witcher series. Being raised by badasses tends to make you badass. Ok, Ciri had a supernatural bloodline, but Vela supposedly has a strong, leader's soul and is destined for greatness, so it's the SAME damnit!

  2. I'm optimistic that I can get Eder and Xoti together romantically, and you can't stop me.

EDIT: Also, I don't think Eothas meant to be blown up, but I do think we'll find out that he was indeed invading the Dyrwood to prevent Woedica's plan before it started. I'd like to think that he hasn't changed for the worse following his death, or at least I hope we have the option of influencing the way he bounces back, similar to Abydon at the end of WM2.

  3.

I feel l this is such an excellent way to make use of the boat as a operation for your home base. I am really starting to respect some of these design decisions. And the talking sword? I can already tell it will be a classic. Love it.

Well, menagerie was asked for a lot, so that's just them listening to feedback. And talking sword was a clever promise during Fig campaign - a good choice to titillate backers interest, because everybody who's a fan still remembers Lilarcor from BG. But, yeah, it's great that these small but awesome things got implemented.

I was super surprised that there was no talking weapon in PoE1, to be honest. Having a weapon inhabited by a person's soul makes far, far more sense in the world of PoE than it did in Baldur's Gate.

  4. I'm taking Eder and Pallegina as well, because my Watcher gets along with them. By this point they've known each other for over 5 years, so they're probably pretty good friends. I'll sometimes take Aloth, but, like everyone else, I found Iselmyr more interesting than him.

I'm going to take Xoti as my fourth party member, because she's a healer. Since she worships a different aspect of Eothas from Eder, plus she's a Readceran, I'm anticipating some lively religious and political debates. I also want to get Eder and Xoti together. It's got to happen.

I think I'll rotate the fifth member around. My character is a pirate so she'll probably get along with Serafen.

  5. I have to say, I really appreciate this thread. The OP clearly knows what he's talking about and conveyed it in a constructive manner.

I have to agree, the Defiant doesn't look as good as it could, but I wouldn't have been able to articulate it nearly as clearly as this thread does. There's something about the shape that's odd, it looks dumpy and square, parts of it look too small and others too large. I wonder if there's a chance for things to change?
