  1. Are there any guidelines on giving lore-friendly names to my character or generated companions? It's pretty hard to think of names for non-standard races like Aumaua or Orlans, so some kind of list of names would be of much help. Or maybe Obsidian could introduce a name generator like they had in Neverwinter Nights in one of the future updates.
  2. Schyzm, What system are you using? I want to understand if it's a bug just on Mac versions related to switching to windowed mode or there's some other cause for this bug.
  3. I'm okay with that, really, but obviously that didn't happen. The bears just stayed there doing their bear stuff and giving funny looks to my knocked out followers.
  4. Нщг Well, yes, sometimes you can run away, but if one of your party members is knocked out then you can't end the combat. Yesterday I visited the infamous bear cave with Eder and Aloth, and after they were knocked out (I play on Path of the Damned + Trial of Iron) my main character could not escape the cave. The bears didn't see him, I could freely enter scout mode, but when I tried to go back to the forest, I got "You must gather your party before venturing forth". It feels pretty stupid and illogical. I'm okay with leaving my party members behind, their heroic deeds will be remembered forever and all that, but please let me escape the cave and not be eaten by those scary bears.
  5. Are there any plans to add an option to flee from combat in future updates? Currently there's no way to escape from encounter if enemies turn out to be too strong. You cannot move to another location while in combat, and you cannot end combat until all enemies are dead. It's a fatal flaw for the Trial of Iron mode - you should either defeat all foes or simply die and start over, no other options. In BG and BG2 there was a neat mechanic where you could flee from encounter by distracting enemies with summoned ally or by sacrificing party member or just by simply running away. Enemies could even follow you to new location (e.g. you are fleeing from goblin-infested house and they follow you to a street location), so it was pretty realistic. I think a feature like that should be implemented in PoE, too.
  6. Sometimes the difficulty setting resets to Easy for no reason. It occurs even if I play on Path of the Damned and cannot change the difficulty setting in game options menu by design. How to reproduce: It's pretty random, but I think it happens especially frequently when I switch the game to windowed mode and back to fullscreen with ⌘+F shortcut (I play on Mac) in character creation or level up menu. I get an error when I try to attach a savegame to this post, so I've uploaded it on external hosting. The game was started with the Path of the Damned + Trial of Iron + Expert Mode, then I used ⌘+F during the character creation process, and in the encampment the difficulty setting has magically switched to Easy. Here is another topic where players experience a similar problem. My system specs: MacBook Pro Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013 Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB Software OS X 10.9.5 (13F34) Please fix this bug, it really breaks the game experience if you play with Path of the Damned + Trial of Iron + Expert mode. I've played for 15 hours and need to start over now.
  7. The same thing happened to me 3 times already. Started with path of the damned + trial of iron, after several hours the game switches to easy for no reason. I had to begin a new game as there's no way to switch from easy back to path of the damned. Steam version for OS X.
