  1. Nintendo is going to be launching with both Metroid and Zelda. They can do without Mario Galaxy for a bit to thwart a drought. Im more interested in Trauma Center, looks cool =) Id prefer it to be more like Life and Death, but i dont think thats possible.

As for Assassin's Creed.. well it was first announced for 360 back at X05. Now Ubisoft will only say that its been confirmed for PS3 and any 360 release is "no comment." Adding to that there were rumors that it was running off of a 360 at E3, and this is Ubisoft we are talking about, I expect to see AC on every console, Wii included.

  2. If you would have asked me this prior to E3, my answer would have been PS3. Now, im not so sure. Once Lost Planet hits i am going to purchase a 360. After viewing all the movies and clips, the Wii is now a day one buy for me. The PS3.. well, hopefully things get rolling at TGS.

  3. I really do. From the times of Fallout all the way through to Icewind Dale 2.

For the past few years there have been no good traditional rpgs released, and I have been condemned to a bleak and miserable existence.

What do you mean by "traditional"?

RPGs such as the Fallouts, Baldurs Gates, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dales, Arcanum, TOEE etc.

I'm sure people who grew up with games like Wasteland, Wizard's Crown, Pool of Radience and Bard's Tale felt the same way when those games you mentioned came out.

Times change, evolve or do without :)

Personally, my reaction was "Sweet"! I know Big Paper must have been pissed though. Grid paper went down big time from the 80s.

  4. The whole scaling issue in Oblivion really puts a snake on my plane.  Incentive to go out and explore places which my character is not meant to go is always my MO.  In Oblivion, there is never the feeling that I am either intruding or in over my head.  Also, the pace of leveling is WAY too fast for me.

Like Morrowind and NWN, I will have to shelve the game until the game fans fix the problems created by the game designers.

You could always create a character where you can dictate the pace. If I've learned anything from playing the game it's that you dont major in skills your going to use.

If you want to be really "strict" on your leveling , then it's also a good idea to pick at least one from each stat group.

    For example

    Blade

    Hand to Hand

and then only use them when you want to level up.

    Ditto with magic schools.

Major in ones you never intend to use. Speechcraft is another one, just dont play the speech game.

I know all this. All of my major skills are controllable and I have each one representing a different attribute.

    Armorer (Endurance)

    Illusion (Personality)

    Alchemy (Intelligence)

    Alteration (Willpower)

    Hand-to-hand (Strength)

    Marksman (Agility)

    Light Armor (Speed)

I think I am missing one but thats a good template based on character creation control. The problem however, is that this kind of setup is contrary to the design philosophy of TES and has been broken since its inception. Foolishly, I believed the successor to Daggerfall was going to iron out these flaws. The shorter production cycle of Oblivion gave me no hope for such a thing happening at all.

  6. Wowzers.  This will undoubtedly become my favorite alternative universe story since Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe.  My favorite panel is where zombie Hulk eats Magneto.

Wasnt this done before in an issue of Ultimate FF and in Universe X? Or was that vampires in Universe X?

  7. Juggernaut - He talks so much smack it is difficult not to include him. He is my tank.

Magneto - Has leadership and can build bridges. His powers get crazy later on.

Cyclops - Has leadership also so I can get double combo bonuses. Nice range combat.

Scarlet Witch - Great support character. I especially love turning enemies into crates!

Those tend to be my main team. I try and mix things up in the Danger Room. Fun game.

  8. You mean Deadpool?

He is talking about the other one,

    Ironman

    .

Team Xbox, please make sure and get a fan of a comic book franchise to review a comic book game next time, this description is just plain stupid, everyone knows that this is called the Fastball Special.

Is it still the same move if Juggs does it? Has Juggs ever done that in the comics?

  9. My problem with Intelligent Design is that people want to treat it as science and replace Theory of Evolution and the Big Bang Theory (theories with scientific backing).  Intelligent Design is not science, it is a philosophical view with basis of religious ideas.  I have no problems with it being taught and explored but lets not teach it as science but in religious studies and philosophy classes.

I don't know. The evidence for the theory of evolution is pretty shoddy. Evolutions entire history is made up of lies and distortions and is practically a pseudoscience.

Of course, you will probably write me off for saying as such. Who shall dare defame your God? Real science does not bend answers to fit a belief. Evolutionists are just as religious as the Creationists.

  10. Perhaps if more people were making a fuss about it, then I'd understand.  But most people seem to be okay with it.  Just because one person whines about it doesn't give them a right to declare it unconstitutional.  Until more people come out of the woodwork and complain, it can stay, as far as I'm concerned.

If something is unconstitutional, it is unconstitutional.

Show us where in the Constitution where it talks about seperation of church and state.

  11. I have many favorite villians, all for different reasons. If I had to pick one purely on the basis of the sheer desperation they gave me, I would have to go with the Lucifige from Freespace. The dread the Lucifige creates surpasses even SHODAN partly because the Lucifige is totally faceless, not mention the fact that its totally gi-nourmous.

From a story standpoint, I have to go with the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za and the Korh-Ah.

  12. I think most games should do voice acting along the lines of the original Baldur's Gate. When you went up to a random guard or townsperson they had an audible representation of who they were. Subsequent releases abandoned this and I find the difference quite jarring when I switch from BG1 to BG2/IWD/TOR.

Might and Magic also did something along these lines, with somewhat comical results. Who can forget the pirate ship captain that shouts "Hoist the flag and raise the sails! Arghh!"
