  1. I remember that I didn't quite know if I liked the scripted interactions or not in the beginning, but after watching all the streams and videos, and playing the beta myself, I found myself loving it. The art in the interactions are amazing, and the style of the interactions make me use my imagination as well to paint the whole picture - which I like.

    I also really like the art of the spell animations. I can't really remember playing or watching a game were I went "Wow! That's some awesome spell animation!" - but I actually did think that to myself with Pillars of Eternity. (A single shot, bad quality screenshot dosn't really do it justice, but I'm gonna add it anyway)

  2. Not sure if these questions are already answered, feel like I've been reading and watching a lot of the information but there's always something I missed.

    - Are the backer designed weapons and armour spread across the game from beginning to end?
    - Will there be Pillars of Eternity TV-commercials airing in some countries?
    - How many "bosses" is there in Pillars of Eternity? (I'm aware this might be too much of a spoiler so I'm not expecting this to be answered)
  3. Funny to see the split in opinions about Pillars of Eternity, haven't really seen such different views on a game in a long time.

    I've uploaded two gameplay videos of Pillars of Eternity on YouTube and there's 90% that writes good comments, then there are a agressive last 10% that really have no filter saying what they think about the game. I feel like one comment really stands out;

    The age gap is obvious on this comment board.

    People that are old enough to have played Baldur's Gate say it looks awesome.

    People who's first system was a PS2 say it looks bad.

    I think it looks fantastic.

    Not saying the reviewer is a kid, but can't really see that this was something he was looking forward to play. He's complaining about not getting his hand held through the gameplay mechanics - I understood the mechanics in less than thirty minutes, can't really see what's hard about it. I think he's a decent reviewer that got lost in a RPG genre he can't play, and have too little patience to understand. It's kind of refreshing knowing that this game will be a struggle, it will be a hardcore game, and it's not ment for everyone. He's right that there's bugs to be fixed, but watching the latest gameplay videos on YouTube I can't really spot any major ones.

  4. Really like what they've done, I'm happy that they pushed the release to march because there's a really big difference from novemeber/early december. I can't see that many bugs, just a few minor ones like the one floor glitch and weird line going from the letter "s" to "t". Love the change in character style and animation.

    Here's a link to the livestream video on YouTube if anyone's interested:

  5. I think financially it was a good idea to have a public beta, it's something that sounds good when pitching the idea. And don't think they would have reached the same amount of funding if it wasn't for having beta on the tier list. It should also be good for a game in development to have "more eyes" so they can get rid of most bugs. But on the other hand it seems like people somehow get confused by the beta concept, and think it's more like a demo of the game. It may be that these people will have a harder time looking past the negatives when the full game releases. I hope not though.

  6. I see my party getting stuck in combat too, as well as before I'm moving into a new zone, and still get my fresh recruited party members stuck in the inn.

    As for the new party member being stuck - I just started a new game and didn't save (because I know that used to mess things up in the last patch) then went straight for the inn and recruited a new level one, and on the way out he got stuck in the inn and wouldn't come out - and I couldn't go back in either.
