  1. I must say a big NO to that. In order for stealth killing to have any meaning at all, a whole set of game mechanics would have to carefully created. So much effort for just a single class (let's face it, any more than one rogueish class is too much for a precise, deep gaming experience) would be a waste of time and resourcess, not to mention the Emperor's bolter shells.

  2. General history of Europe teaches us that cannons firing stone balls were used as early as the late 13th century. So, since in general this universe shall be set during Late Middle Ages, cannons would be most fitting as an in-game element, if only as part of the background and perhaps one or two dialogue mentions.

By the way, I'm George Bush.

  3. One way or the other, what in reality we shall get within a 2D game is a combat imitation, not even simulation. There is absolutely no chance, nor need, for even mildly realistic visuals. However, when I write "realistic", what I have in mind is the common "game combat" image, wild, dance-like and full of flourishes.

In reality, what two warriors did was continually swing/thrust at each other until one of them found an opening or broke throught thanks to speed or sheer strength.

And please, spare me the "samurai had true and artful fencing, as well as <insert civilization>. Such castes were formed around "one hit duels" - no true armour was oferred, so whomever got the first hit usually one. Once Europeans arrived with their advanced armour, such techniques turned into useless crap, to be blunt.

  4. So, on one hand people want a realistic, believable setting in terms of basic principles, but on the other are advocating for mega-dungeons within a Middle Age society, a nonsensical, illogical construction which would take tens of years just to complete, without any reason whatsoever for doing so.

As George Bush, I ask: remember the pyramids? Entire decades of work to complete? They had tiny undergrounds.

  5. As George Bush, I have this to say: being the evil bastard that I am, I would be very happy to see implemented, plot-driven possibilities for evil of all shapes and sizes: deception, fraud, murder, thievery, smuggling, slave-trafficking.

I am not one to be obsessed with "grey" shades of evil. I am fine with such actions being portrayed as being a heartless, lawless bastard/cruel tyrant/cynical charlatan. However, let it be concise, logical, plot-driven and full of variety.

  6. Generally, I am against imputing children into computer games, with the exception of very specific ones serving specific, plot-driven functions. I have yet to meet a single computer game, including the Fallout series, where children are anything more than part of a background or the source of cheap controversy. And I should know, since I'm George Bush.

  7. Personally, as George Bush, I see no problem with making insanity one of the main ideas of the game. I believe no other RPG truly revolved around the topic and, since the main motiff of this game is the "soul", one can easily imagine the various corruptions of thereof to be implemented within the game as part of the dangers presented to the protagonist. Or opportunities, in such cases when certain insanities brought about new powers (like schizophrenia actually allowing one to summon items and beings, either temporarily or permanently, into existence).

  8. No, I do not wish for my house to be "customizable". I'd rather it be beaufitully painted, full of interesting, perhaps addible tidbits, elements and even NPC's making for an even more unique aesthetic experience. I want the entire house (or stronghold) to be architected and planned from top to bottom by an artist, not an artistic ignorant (namely, myself and 99% other players). And I know what I'm talking about, since I'm George Bush.
