  1. I'm not sure if this has already been discussed or if the information is already out there, but I have a question: How exactly are Obsidian planning to fund the expansion? Are they going to self fund it, or are they going to make another kickstarter? At the moment I'm unsure whether I want to pledge the extra $20 for the expansion, as it could turn out that I could get a better deal either in price or in goodies if Obsidian plan to create a kickstarter for it. They've already said that none of the funds raised here will be used on the expansion, so it isn't clear how big the expansion will be. Honestly, I would like my money spent on the game to go towards the game, and my money for the expansion, to go towards the making of the expansion. I'm a student and so don't really have money to pay for the expansion now, and then pay again for another copy down the line to help it actually get made. Anyway, I hope someone out there can answer my queries, or refer me to somewhere where they have already been answered.
  2. I'm going to have to add my voice to the choir singing for Jeremy Soule. In the world of Western RPGs, and in my opinion the world of video games in general, Jeremy Soule is the king of scores. What impresses me most is not so much his ability to create strong themes - which is considerable in itself - but the elegance of his "ambient" music. He has a real knack for writing pieces that set the tone for any given area in a game, manipulating the player's feelings subconsciously, while being beautiful to listen to independently of the game itself. So often a piece of game music is either "atmospheric" but not very good to listen to in abstract, or conversely "thematic", but too distracting to use effectively in-game. Soule strikes a perfect balance. Of course there are many other composers out the who are capable of doing just as good a job, and I look forward to the game's music regardless of who they go with. I just hope that the score is one of the strongest points of what could be a brilliant game.
