  1. I totally agree. Foreshadowing exists in a good story, but don't make it blatantly obvious. I'd love to have options where I can act if I think a person's suspicious, like question them or break into their house or tail them for awhile or something.

Another thing that's slightly related - if someone's invisible, I don't want to be able to see their outline and not be able to attack them. If they're invisible, I don't want to see them.

  2. You can play real inventory Tetris: http://gangles.ca/2009/02/01/inventory-tetris/

The only way it makes sense to be able to carry everything you find is if you have to open a door to another dimension every time you access your inventory. You have to create a magical pocket in space and time, wait for the door to another dimension animation, walk through it, wait for the cell to load, look around your magical closet, and then reverse-repeat as you leave.

  3. I think the OP is reasonable, excepting the DLC comparison, but at the same time I don't like catering to morons. It's obvious to me that the addition of a new character costs major $$$ and I'm pretty happy with what I know about the game and stretch goals so far. I also understand the $1.1 budget is really tiny when you have to pay everyone's salaries. I've been following the SA thread, though, so I've seen all of Sawyer's explanations.

You really can't satisfy everyone, especially the RPGCodex crowd. Everything has been written in clear and simple English so far and I'm sure they'll clarify everything soon. A work week runs Monday to Friday. I'm impressed they've responded at all after midnight on weekends.

  4. I'm not sure you want a full party of Kreia though. You need people for a character like that to play off of, because it's the contrast and the bouncing of dialogue between these conflicting personalities that makes a character like Kreia complete. Anyways, I wouldn't want them to do Kreia again. I do get what you mean though, someone that compelling? That's something I'm sure we'd all like to see.

Imagine every action angering 5 of the 6 Kreias and they all chastise you and then fling insults at each other. Your party is always arguing and second-guessing everything you do. In the end, you are supposed to fight through every Kreia before destroying the ancient evil or finding the wondrous macguffin, but it's too late. They've gotten to you. All you want to do is listen to 6 speeches telling you how worthless and disappointing you are. They're right and you deserve to be punished. The Kreias have won.

  5. I loved Arcanum despite wearing the same dress through the whole game. Having a wide selection of dialogue is also extremely important for my character and immersion, and that can definitely make up for having less clothes.

Graphics have improved and I'm assuming we'll be able to zoom in to some extent. We may be able to see ourselves in the inventory, as well. If fine details aren't possible, there are still shapes and colors and separate pieces (hats, shoes, gloves) to consider.

  6. I either need a character that is fully written (The Nameless One, Geralt) or I need an in-depth character creation system. I'm talking hair, makeup, and clothing. I can't begin to stress how important this is and I know I'm not the only one.

When I'm in town, I like to put on my fancy dress of +charisma and persuade the townsfolk to give up all their secrets and pay me to take their goods. When I'm out adventuring, I want to inspire awe in my foes. I want the glare off my armor to blind them for a moment. I want bandits to covet my fine, silken mage robes while I burn them to a crisp. I want to enchant a commoner's tunic with protective charms so that I may go unnoticed in a crowd.

And don't forget to accessorize! Jewelry and shoes pull the whole outfit together.
