Barbie dolls were expensive and I only had a couple. I remember shaving the hair off one of them, my mom was so mad at me for doing that. I was grounded for a month.

A friend of mine just emmigrated to Norway.
Sounds like the country is very farm-oriented: where the "farms" are fishing villages. Low density residential structure. Very pretty (if you like the fractal geometry of fjords, and who doesn't?) and LOTS of snow.
Very friendly people, big drinkers (but alcohol is so expensive thee that people bring their own and take it back with them when they attend parties).
