  1. I can't agree with you enough!!!!

    Absolutely.

After I played SP I decided to try it MP.

I kept freakin dying...NOT because I couldn't play the game, but the camera enabled cheap shots and we had no way of getting to the enemy many times. You can't outrun homing missiles if you have to stay so close to companions sometimes, and the area is littered with immovable objects. It just got annoying.

The camera IS one thing I'm hoping they fix in a patch and do something to resolve this portion of the MP play.

i came on here this evening to post this exact thing..after a week of playing sp i went over my friends today to show him the game and to try out the mp..the camera game us so much trouble we quit in frustration trying to beat a boss..no telling how many times he or i died due to the cheap camera..its completely ridiculous..and no one can tell me that obsidian werent aware of this when they shipped the game..they cut a lot of corners on the mp side of this game..

  2. Any changes which are proposed would be too late for me to want to play the game again.

I have to say, I feel cheated in the lack of a persistent co-op option, which was the reason why I purchased the game and convinced a load of friends to pick this title up.

Their choices in co-op have made me want to trade this in and just dissuade anyone else I know to avoid picking this title up.

    I couldn't see were to reply, but on further investigation of this game, I found this which sums it up completely for me;

thats awesome...obsidian deserves every shot thats taken at them over the mp..i hope now they truly regret the decision to do it the way they did..

  3. I couldnt have said it better. You know I just picked up this little $15 game off of steam called Dungeons and Dragons Daggerfall, and while it isn't the classic RPG style that I prefer like you would see in the first 2 DS games, it suer is alot more enjoyable and less frustrating than DS3.

Then you're extremely lucky you bought it post patch then. Pre-patch Daggerdale game was a technical nightmare, and still may be.

You only need to reasd the list of fixes, and see that there was a ton more that wasn't mentioned to know just how awful it was on release from a technical standpoint. Dungeon Siege, despite its flaws, 3 is near perfect in comparison.

you mean hey finally patched it? i havent played it since a few days after it was released on xbla. i was afraid id get the skill point bug and i was tired of all the freezing..ill admit even with its flaws ds3 is better than daggerdale..

  4. after nv first launched you couldnt even go onto the forum to post an issue much less any kind of negative feed back without the fanboys calling you a liar a troll and every other thing in the book just for trying to get some help..fanboys = no criticism or problem is valid in any situation is the impression i got there..and it felt the same way here pretty much from the start..anyways im done..im pretty much happy with the game except a few minor bugs and one huge flaw..mp of course..so theres really no point in me continuing..i guess fanboyism is just the way it is here..oh wells..

  5. as for complaints i paid $60 bucks for this game therefore i have the right to complain as much as i want to and so does anyone else who paid good money for it...
Because? There was a demo and reviews, no one told you to get the game before researching whether it suited your tastes or not.

thats a pat bs response if i ever read one..some ppl dont spend a lot of time on the internet researching every thing about a game..you ppl act like its the consumers fault that developers put out bad games..this forum is just as bad as the fallout nv forum was/is..cant complain about your favorite little developer its not their fault they put out faulty products its everyone elses fault..blah bla blah....pitiful..

  6. i just go into the swamp and the camera is the worst ive seen it so far..every time i go around a corner it seems to zoom in almost to the ground..

and another thing really bugs me is im using lucas..i use his two handed stance %90 of the time..it never fail that after a conversation or even after coming out of the inventory he is automatically set to his one handed stance..its irritating and has caused me some trouble a few times..

  7. I wonder what copy of DS 3 you did play because the story and gameplay is good the only bad is the online co-op, camera and loot system. I guess you will praise TL2 and D3 when get released because aren't made by Obsidian.

I wonders why so many haters of Obsidian post in this forums. If i don't like the games of a dev...easy i don't buy it and much less waste my time in their forums.

i dont think anyone forced you to read this thread or reply..that was YOUR choice..so you wasted your own time there..

as for complaints i paid $60 bucks for this game therefore i have the right to complain as much as i want to and so does anyone else who paid good money for it...i could care less how the majority of you feel about the developers..im not a fanboy like most of you seem to be..i can see the flaws in a game no matter who makes it and I WILL complain about it all i want..ill a spade a spade whether ppl like it or not..

with that being said im enjoying the game except a few irritating flaws that i hope will be addressed..and i will complain about those if i choose too..

  8. id love to know how much the mp, camera and no game + affected the sales and what obsidian and square have to say about it..

Thats impossible to count. Also there are other players that actually like the game because it didn't focus on these things but other qualities.

if you bother to look around other boards where fanboys arent the persistent members, like here, you might see what im talking about..

  9. I think we could all do with a hug.

none of yall are touchin me...

i like how some of yall really seem stung by the negative reviews an/or the negative feedback..you had to know this was coming..you had to know the reviews would be negative about the mp..how could you not see it coming?

  10. ups should be delivering it to me at work tomorrow if everything goes as expected..i did go against my better judgement and keep my preorder..if it werent for some credit and 99 cent release day delivery i wouldnt have..even with all the good reviews im seeing im still not convinced this is a $65 game..i soooo hope im not disappointed like i was with fallout: nv..

  11. *sigh* To each his own then. All I'm saying is that claiming a game sucks cause it lacks multiplayer when said features were never intended is missing the point, I can just as easily claim that games like Skyrim will be terrible because it has no multiplayer and the devs are just cheap, lazy and greedy for not programming it in. It's missing the point. Maybe this isn't the same as the original dungeon sieges or whatever but you still have those kinds of features in the upcoming diablo game which will no doubt completely blow DS1 and 2 out of the park. So quit whining and ruining it for the rest of us who just want to enjoy some BG:DA style arpg with some co-op thrown in as well. It's just a game right? We should all really just relax.

talk about missing the point....its like some of you have blinders on..i really dont get it..

  12. I think for Obsidian they know damn well this wasn't the best way to set this up but they had to choose the cheapest easiest method for getting the game running. There are like 4 people who post here plus the moderators who ardently defend this decision but they all say the same thing and basically want us to believe that the focus on story is enough of a reason to gimp MP like this.

They probably just couldn't figure out how to code the MP properly so we got this neutered version.

You people do realise that being able to have a PERSISTENT SAVE OF A YOUR VERSION OF A CHARACTER wouldn't break the story in co-op? They would have to account for level difference somehow but the host could choose what levels to allow in their game and problems solved for everyone. But then we start getting into ADDING gameplay optuions and EXPANDING multiplayer and these days its all about shortchanging gamers and STREAMLINING.

best post ive read on this subject yet..

  13. The aim wasn't to make a diablo-alike, they wanted to differentiate it from Diablo because otherwise there'd be no reason to get it when you could get diablo 3. This is a story focused arpg with co-op designed to just chill around and have fun with friends ala portal 2- that's something that I've always wanted and loved- i don't care much for looting and exp grinding.

If that isn't your thing, then fine, go play diablo 3. It wasn't about copping out and being cheap and whatever, they were trying something different and aren't catering for a crowd that'd much rather play diablo 3.

if they werent going to do it right it shouldnt have been added at all..any developer with half a brain knows in this type of game thats what drives the co-op..its pretty much pointless now..theres a huge amount of potential customers now that are going to pass on this game for that simple reason..i know for a fact my friends are not buying it..i hope when its all said and done obsidian has to explain it was this decision that cost so many sales of the game to square..
