  1. I think you may well have hit the nail on the head there. Both K1 and K2 utterly outshone the prequels; and the darkness and ambiguity of K2 was somewhere Lucas seemed to never want to go (not even with the third prequel, which was crying out for it).
  2. The conversations in Oblivion were just tedious. Nice idea, perhaps too early in the 360's development. But what you're after is the expression after the choice, rather than before? I like that idea. In fact, when Westridge is first giving you the tutorial, I kind of thought that was what was going to happen.
  3. Minority, eh? I don't think that's really correct, despite what some BioWare fans want to make you believe. Heh heh, that's good to hear. My time on the gamebanshee forums years back gave me a different impression.
  4. Oof, like in Oblivion? I think the main thing I liked about the influence system was that the game just adapted to however the conversation went. For me, that added immensely to the replay value. On the one hand, I can't see an AP2 happening (though I'd love it to be made) given how underwhelming the response was (I compeltely missed the fact that it had been released at all initially). On the other hand, there have been a lot of sequels made after underwhelming starts. Just Cause wasn't exactly amazing. Even Dead Space was relatively under the radar until later on.
  5. I've actually just registered to add to this thread. I've been a big fan of Obsidian for a while now - being one of the minority who preferred KOTOR2 to the first - and picked up Alpha Protocol two weeks ago. I have hardly stopped playing it. As Nonek says, it's everything a game should be; just beginning my third playthrough. I'm on Xbox and don't seem to have encountered the glitches so far - except for reloaded checkpoints getting rid of enemies, and that sort of thing. Nothing too much to worry about, doesn't ruin the game for me at all. Would prefer some more customisation of Thorton, but again, not a huge worry. Overall, I can't beleive the bad press the game's received (maybe I'm looking for different things in a game than others?).
