I wondered if it would be something like that, This may be why I don't experience it as much as others, I don't always sneak/enter combat and I often use Alt to manually unseak before taking turns.

Just here to agree on the Kana bug, The game is freezing/getting stuck on waiting and obviously with no auto-saves before combat/can't save during combat if it happens you're losing a portion of your save every time in having to go back and redo what you missed. It's frequent enough its happening every 2/3 encounters for me. So much so I'll likely remove chanters from my party for now till fixed. Happy to provide logs if it helps.
