I know about the ultimate but I saw no build posted here. Just kaylons assassin. I was just saying how skaen and wizard invisibility replenishes as soon as brilliant triggers. We can use offensive spells as long as they do damage instantly. Like minolettas precisely piercing burst or torrent of flame. Wizard is better than priest for that. And bloodmage is unreliable but getting your spell back is guaranteed even for high level spells if you have brilliant. Instead of waiting 6 seconds for smoke veil, and then shooting with arquebus a wizard or skaenite can cast an offensive spell. A real crowd pleaser like piercing burst. Repeatedly.

Go invisible, brilliant, shoot, go invisible again. If you don't mind waiting six seconds you can even cast your strongest spell repeatedly without any enemy interrupting.

Never mind it was an older version of the game. Its fixed in 5.0

No I mean forbidden curse should be decreasing in duration. But it's barely budging. It was 17 s with beginning resolve and now its 13s. Which is ridiculously little.

No matter how much I pump resolve the duration of forbidden fist remains about 13 seconds or so. Even with 35 res and lone ring.

No I am saying I managed to get double adaptives on the same weapon set. So I could reach 10x on the same set, with both weapons and then switch again for another 10. Yeah but I managed to get double adaptives somehow before by moving weapons around. Now I can't anymore. Don't know how I did it.

Is deadfire more mechanically rich than poe ?
There's a lot of unique abilities, modals, foods, and weapons, armours in deadfire. And multiclass opens up new synergies. This means lots of different builds. Whereas the main variety in poe 1 comes from class abilities. Weapons and items have more or less the same few enchantments.

Why doesn't soul annihilation hit multiple enemies ?
Well I do a regular attack with whispers and that that does hit multiple enemies. But soul annihilation doesn't. But I am pretty sure sun and moon does double damage. Two hits give Two raw lashes. I was just going through old threads and everyone seemed to say that soul annihilation attacks with WotW in AOE. Did it get nerfed or what?

I have hit it in exactly the same point one with a regular hit and one with soul annihilation and it just never hit multiple times

Interesting backlash
Was trying to solo kaoto upscaled as ranged cipher. Noticed that you get stunned by your own backlash. Enemy hits you with will attack, you hit it with backlash, they hit you with backlash. And that's how I stunned myself without doing anything.

The only way you can keep up those stacks is if you are cheesing brilliant. Otherwise you will never hit +40 accuracy. But the blade cascade is still nice dual wielded I suppose. A full attack should have 1-(0.95^0.95) a 10% chance of triggering it. And the additional speed is nice to get more adaptive. And you to have to switch weapon sets if you want the other weapons adaptive to work. So my second set has them switched around.

So basically I spared benweth, told aeldys about yser and lucia in deadlight, then never visited her again, did the yseyr furrante, did the principi slaver quest with furrante and simultaneously with the vailians, did the vailian trial, then went over to furrante and attacked him in the first dialogue. Aeldys was already tied up when I did this. Went up and freed her non violently by saying you're welcome. And then when she comes down you can repeat the interaction again and again for scordeos edges and blackblade hoods. Any build suggestions ?

Solo rogue passive deathblows
You can passively unlock deathblows by getting enemies stuck using the binding rope+on crit effect. However stun on crit weapon overrides stuck and doesn't trigger deathblows. But prone on crit works with stuck and you unlock deathblows. Hence prone on crit weapons are better. Besides stuck and prone together are equal to the stun debuff

I mean you just sit tight I guess. And let the dragon chant/summon do their thing. Before little savior you can buy redfield from larha in old song for the harbinger passive which gives an extra effective +3 melee defense.

So I like to play a tank chanter that just sits and everything burns around him. But I noticed that he would die sometimes. I wanted a character that was invulnerable and at the same a very efficient AoE damage dealer without relying on any per rest abilities or consumables. The Executioner Difficulty: Normal Solo:Yes(intended) Class: Chanter Background: Rauatai/Drifter Race: Wild Orlan(for defiant resolve and head slot) Starting stats: might: 18 con:18 Dex:3 Int:18 Res: 9 Skills: Stealth and mechanics early game. Than stealth(to reduce tedium) and survival(+15 accuracy) Early game use the phantom summon and stealth and beetle summon for safety as well as the blunting belt. This build shines with stronghold adventures on so hire a companion to do the quests. Basically the head slot is the executioners hood. The fear enchantment gives you effective +10 defense. The dazed gauntlets do the same again while reducing enemy attack speed. As a chanter tank you should be getting hit all the time. Cloak of comforts defense bonus stacks with ring of protection/deflection and its armor bonus compensates for the blunting belt and ryonas low armor rating. You can use lavender wreath to eat mind grubs without getting sick. The head slot was missing preservation from garodhs chorus so I used malinas boots(which also gives move speed bonus for faster map cleanup). This combined with the little savior will make you invulnerable during stun and prone. I didn't use consecrated ground because it was triggering rarely because of high defenses. Talents: All the defensive ones + beloved memories Phrases: dragon trashed. It stacks with itself so just keep using it. You can also use her courage thick as steel. That's it. With this build you can face tank llengrath and just gather enemies into giant crowds and light them on fire because you will just outheal whatever damage you get thanks to beloved spirits.

Chanter exploit discovered
It turns out that if you put phrases in your chants and then respec and don't pick those phrases again you can still use them ! As long as you don't remove them from your chant. So you make a chant with the all the phrases and then "sculpt" a custom chant from the original chant. This way I avoided picking any phrases at all.

How to boost a solo herald's damage ?
I have been playing a shield-bearer/troubadour on normal difficulty, solo. He can regenerate about 5 hp/sec and has good armor. But for the all the defensive focus the damage is very slow. The animated weapons are decent but still slow and so is her revenge. His weapon attack speed is also pretty slow and damage not boosted much. I have been using bardattos luxury and akolas apex ward with magneras chain. His dexterity is also 4. But might perception intellect and resolve are maxed.
