Okay I got past it. Here's the Save. If anyone else needs help getting pass this section I can probably respond within 24 hours.

I was able to sneak in the embassy without it saying I killed the Marines. Make sure you take the ladder on and get through the door without knocking the guard out or having him notice you. The only way I was able to this was to use an EMP on the door, while the guard had his back to me. At the mission summary it said something along the lines of Thorton being able to sneak in the embassy and helping the Marines. However, when Albatross sends an email he still reacts as though Thorton went through through the front and killing the Marines.

It sounds like you got into the level before it finished loading. If you changed something that involved streaming in the .ini files that might have something to do with it. Specifically onlystreamintextures=(default is false) and/or bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=(default is True).

No problem, I'm pretty much doing nothing the whole day. I'll check every hour or something.

Alright your save file worked for me. Here's the Save File its right after the second section. It's kinda annoying the forums don't allow .sav attachments. Hopefully I uploaded it correctly. Ok that worked, awsome. Still annoying, realized that wasn't one of my complete saves. Ah well. Would be nice if you'd save them normally too so we won't have to overwrite our auto-save Good to hear it worked. It's just a temporary fix though, hopefully a real fix comes along so you guys don't come across it on your subsequent playthroughs. At least you can continue the game now.

I can confirm that you don't have to ID the stripper. If scanning Peter van der Graaf halts the games progression try to ID everyone else then shoot him. Shoot any witnesses as well. Another suggestion I can give is try uploading your save files here. I'll load it up onto my game and see if I can get past van der Graaf. If I can get to the third part using your save files I'll upload/attach it here. You won't miss anything because there is a checkpoint right after scanning everyone in the second part of the mission. Hopefully this should work.

Just curious, what settings did you change? If you can remember. At least try moving your current config somewhere else, like the desktop, and see if the game's default config lets you progress the mission. Then you can move it back if there's no affect. The intel that you can buy for the mission let's you ID people faster. I've finished the mission with and without purchasing it. I didn't see any difference other than the "ID bar" filling up faster.

Did you guys edit the ini files? I think that might be the problem. The game stuttered a lot so I changed some settings in the ini files, and it helped the stuttering. I started having problems with the game sometimes not progressing properly, though. I never had this problem prior to editing the ini files. So, I threw away the entire config folder that contained the ini files so the game could recreate them to their default settings. The game worked properly from then on. The game also seemed to have less stuttering, although it could just be my imagination. If you didn't mess with the ini files then I'm not sure what to.
