Ya so hey guys read the question carefully please. I uninstalled TSL a few months back and it was running perfectly that time. Now I reinstalled it in the same system and nothing has changed in the system (When I say nothing I mean nothing). So when I used to play TSL earlier, the quick saves used to be very very quick. But now when I've reinstalled the game, they've become really slow. But why? I don't have any mods, no cheats activated, all graphics are set to low and the system hasn't changed. I just don't understand! I mean the game is the same, the system is the same, so why is this happening? Thanks in advance guys

Hey guys, Please move this forum if it isn't placed correctly. I purchased kotor 2 5 years back. Over the years, the play disk has developed scratches that cause loading screen lags(as far as what I think is the problem). Without purchasing a new cd, is there a way to solve this problem? I am new so please explain in detail. In other words, I just need to create a backup so that I can play with the backup cd. I made an image of the play disk and burned it on the a CD-R but it says wrong disk inserted. Please help me.

Why would he do that? The engine KotOR II uses saves more data the further you go in the game so it might be that you are simply trying to load a save that has much more data and that could the cause of the slowdown. Also, have you tried saving a regular save file rather than a quicksave? It might be that your quicksave folder has become bloated and you need to go in and delete some older files. Actually the save game folder is empty since I re-installed the game. SO please help me. The game is slow even if I load a game from peragus (after waking up from the kolto tank)

Does anybody know the solution to loading screen lags while quicksaving. I reinstalled the game. I don't have mods or anything. The game used to quicksave faster earlier. I tried drfragmentation and everything but the problem continues?

thats what I was doing but the assassin's creed detector tool shows up. I hope the graphics card you have recommended 9600 gt has an affordable price.

The specs aren't hard-coded limitations by the developers. If your computer can run it, it can run it. Nobody will stop you. They are just recommended minimum requirements, usually to prevent lots of graphics lag. If what you say is true I have assassin's creed and my CPU doesn't meet the minimum specs and when I click the game, instead of the game starting, why does the Detect Tool start up and tell me that my CPU is not good enough to play assassin's creed?

So what do you guys think, which one's better? Most of you mustn't have heard of TSLRCM lol. Here's their URL http://www.deadlystream.com/index.php I personally think that instead of only restoring cut content, TSLRCM should also fix bugs. It doesn't matter whether the bugs are major or minor, they all affect the game. On the other hand, TSLRP which is on 99% done since 2006, is trying to restore cut content, as well as fix bugs. I think the reason why they're taking so much time is because they wanna fix each and every bug. So although TSLRP might take more time, its result will be much more better than that of TSLRCM. (OH yeah tell me if this is posted in the wrong forums) I'm new

Hey I have played kotor 2 before and the quick save used to run fast really really fast. But now when I press F4 which is for quick save, it takes more time. I don't even have any mods installed. I have only one character in kotor 2. The save takes a long time even if its a new game. Luckily I had an old kotor 2 save (when the quicksaves used to be really fast). I loaded that and then the quick save started working all right. But when I deleted that save and started a new fresh game, the quick saves became slower.Should reinstalling help? I have TSLRP installed and my game is totally updated. When the game used to save fast, that time it wasn't updated. Any idea what happened?Is updating creating this lag?

I also had this problem after the ebon hawk leaves nar shaddaa to go to any planet alhtough I don't have windows 7, only windows xp. The problem got fixed after starting a new game. I know, its disappointing how we have to start new games for small, unfixed bugs and glitches.

I know that kotor 2's storyline is broken but

Go to the party screen and add them in your part again. To do this just double click their portraits.

There is an ini file however, it is not named so. It is called swkotor 2. It is actually a notepad file. Under game options, Type EnableCheats=1 without any spaces. Then save the notepad. Then after you start the game, pres the "`" key without the quotes. the "`" key is located immediately below the Escape key. The console will not be visible like it was in kotor. Type the cheat and press enter. For example after pressing "`", type "revealmap" without quotes and press "enter". Now press the "M" button on the keyboard. your whole map will be revealed and you will be able to see everything. IF this works, then the cheats are working. Remove whatever you have typed in the swplayer notepad.

I did use a mod to skip peragus. I did load an earlier save (polar academy) but the same thing happened. Do you think this is because I used ingame cheats? I didnt use ingame cheats to change my alignment. I used it to get hk-47 parts.
