  1. The sorry state of Windows 7 gaming Release feels almost funereal due to lack of gaming titles and support http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33624209/ns/te...ch_and_gadgets/ I thought the above link and article was an interesting read. If what they are saying is true, we are looking into a hollow void. During the next year or so, there are only a handful of new PC games coming. I just bought a computer six months ago, and I'm beginning to view the pc gaming industry differently. Since there will not be enough released games, I am personally not going to bother upgrading. It would be a total waste. Unless something changes in the quantity (and quality) of pc games, upgrading my computer to accommodate only a few games would be a waste. The rewards do not fit the costs. I hope Obsidian is reading this article. Hopefully they will consider the possibility of keeping system requirements low.
  2. I do not think it maters if any of them come out at all. Its only a game. Knights of the Old Republic 2 is five and a half years old. Its time to move onto other Obsidian games. Once (if) these mods ever do come out, whoever is interested in downloading them will. Do not forget that TSLRP is on a indefinite hiatus. It will most likely come out, and not many people will have noticed. Arguing over these mods is a mute point. Life moves on.
  3. Rosbjerg, About six months ago, I started a 1920s Vampire campaign. Our characters lived and were involved with the mafia. I used "Vampire the Masquerade: First Edition" rules. It was a neat reflection on history. We were in Italy, Germany, and the States. At the end of last weeks campaign, we stopped in San Francisco 1930s. Turf wars, gun and alcohol smuggling, etc... Everything you can think of to empower the local enclave. It was sweet.
  4. I mostly use Requiem and Second edition.. and pick and choose what elements I like from them, but I've completely rewritten the entire world history from scratch to make a more imho interesting setting. Good deal. If you stay to the rules too closely, rpgs can get boring really quick. What cities are you looking at? Suggestion: London, New York, or LA.
  5. An acronym for this game would be SW: TFU.
  6. And he mentions the Camarilla. Yes. Vampire the Masquerade: First Edition (Retired) Vampire the Masquerade: Second Edition Vampire the Masquerade: Dark Ages Vampire the Masquerade: Requiem There are four flavors. The Camarilla is mentioned in all three.
  7. Rosbjerg, What series are you playing? Dark Ages, Second Edition, or Requiem?
  8. Without getting too far off topic, could someone give me a quick rundown on Gothic III. Player's perspective.
  9. ramza, Since you can preorder the new windows for $50, I would defiantly put some cash down on Windows 7. Its worth the risk. If they were selling it for $199 at the start, I would hold off until all the bugs have been fixed.
  10. Diablo 3 I am looking for a NEW single player RPG. Does anyone have a suggestion?
  11. I am hanging around waiting for a new single player rpg. I finished Neverwinter Knights 2. Diablo 3 looks like a potentially good place to start.
  12. Hello WhiteMist, If you place Obsidian in game development history, you will find that it is still kind of a newish franchise. NWN 2 and KotOR 2 did have some gender specific dialogue. Sure, things can always be improved upon. Alpha Protocol does look like a male based game, but I am sure females will have the same amount of fun. Not every game needs to be male and female inclusive. Obsidian will no doubt build another multi-gender rpg in the future. What is great about the gaming world in general is that you never know whats around the corner. Something new always pops up.
  13. Those photos are pretty impressive. Some great detail and quality.
