  1. Grapple Claw [This should be an after end game item so it doesn't affect yard traversal] Left handed tool The grapple will have 2 modes: 1st mode: Automatic Fire the Grapple by holding the left trigger. This will real the grapple in immediately and pull you towards the grapple point swiftly Some slight control of player movement while the Grapple reels you in would add the ability to launch yourself up into the air (make sure you have a dandelion tuft equipped) 2nd mode: Manual Control If you tap the trigger the Grapple fires out and laches onto a surface but does not real in automatically. In this state when you push forward on the movement stick the grapple reals in. When you push down on the movement stick it reals out. How fast or slow the Grapple reels you in or out depends on how much you tilt the stick. You can still use items that are in your right hand. e.g: weapons and tools. Also you can haul building materials. This will help with builds that are high up and in awkward to reach areas and the control of the grapple will make these builds far easier.
  2. Xbox One S Game preview Single player after update 0.2.0 you can no longer map one button to have 2 different functions. Example: X button is used to pick up/interact and I used to also have it assigned to swim down. Now when I try to map X button to swim down the game tells me X is being use for INTERACT and asks if I want to change it to the new function. I also used to have A button mapped to swim up as it's secondary function. Same issue. Another example: If you set button mapping to default the A button is assigned to both jump and glide. If however you deselect the A button from let's say glide and then try to reselect it for glide the game will again tell you that the A button is assigned to jump and asks if you want to change it's function... Secondary button mapping slot has no effect. If you try to use the secondary button mapping slot game tells you the button is already in use and asks if you want to change it to the new function. P.S. I absolutely love this game. It's so much fun and has so much more potential. Well done to everyone who is working on Grounded. BIG thumbs up
  3. When attacking a larger enemy that has a health bar if you move away from it & the health bar disappears from the top of the screen then approach the enemy again it's health bar is reset to full
  4. having so much fun on Grounded. absolutely loving it. xbox one s 1) When holding a standard sap Torch and crouching if you fall off an object your character starts waving their left hand repeatedly. - WORKAROUND - Unequipping and reequipping the Torch fixes this. Haven't tried this with a Slime Mold Torch 2) When swimming I'm having trouble staying on the surface. When trying to swim along the surface most of the time my character drops below the surface and the breath meter appears. 1st and 3rd person. Although it's easier to manage in 3rd person. I have bound the A button to the Swim Up action and this also doesn't help. 3) On occasion, if I have a different kind of liquid in my canteen to what is in my water container I can't take a drink from the water container. this doesn't seem to happen every time. here's an example: I has 2 slurps of fruit drink in my water container that I had collected with my canteen. I then collected 2 slurps of dew from my dew collector and stored them n my canteen. I went over to the water collector and tried to take a drink of the fruit juice (hold X to slurp) but the game told me I couldn't hold 2 different types of drink. I had put my canteen away. I was holding nothing in my hands. 4) Slime Mold Sconce stops working when I leave my base. When I return the Slime Mold Sconce is undamaged but no light is emitting. When this happened the first time I replaced them with a standard Sconce so I am not sure what exactly happened. I went far away from my base and when I returned no light. Best of luck with this little gem of a game. I'm loving it
  5. How about climbing tools such as spiked gloves, boots and knee pads crafted from acorn shells &/or beetle carapace. Some type of line or thread attached to a needle or spike. Either swung and thrown by the player and also fired from a bow. The ability to climb the thread/line both upwards & abseiling downwards. Climbing could drain stamina so as to limit how much the player might exploit the environment. Being able to abseil down and dangle in an open space and potentially begin to shift your weight forwards and back in order to swing.
  6. Xbox one. The vertical to horizontal sensitivity ratio is a little off. Including a vertical sensitivity slider would help this. The vertical sens is incredibly slow. I set the sens to 100% and this still feels awkward. Please include a vertical sens slider along side the horizontal for personal tailoring needs EDIT: I have played a little more of the beta this evening and it appears the sensitivity slider isn't working. My OP still counts as both Horizontal and vertical sens is crucial for individual needs. Have been playing the demo for a couple of hours and I'm really enjoying myself. This game is already a lot of fun & I can't wait to buy the full release and play this awesome game. Well done to the entire team on this one. This is game is fun, as video games should be. Great stuff
