Kotor 2 is a very buggy game. With buggy games you should go with as "normal" setup as possible, otherwise you just run in to more bugs. Damn. Well do you think it would be worth it to get a slightly older graphics card that uses just the PCI Slot? If I did that I could keep the quadro and put the PCI Graphics card in too; then I'd just have to switch the monitor plug and maybe restart when I wanted to play an older game.

Is that in the in Game settings? I'm having a similar problem. My Quadrofx1100 apparently isn't compatible with KOTOR but my Radeon 9550 is. Except instead of lines, my game just crashes. I doubt it's the buffer frame thing but it may be; is that in the configure program?

Sorry if I'm double posting but the Edit button is missing . . .???? UPDATE: The game works fine after I replace my Nvidia Quadro FX 1100 for my ATI Radeon 9550. So I know the problem is my Video card. But I thought my Quadro fx1100 was better than the radeon 9550 . . . The 9550 has 256MB Vram and the 1100 only has 128; however, with the 1100 I can use high-quality rendering in Maya and use better lighting settings in games like SPORE and OBLIVION. And to add insult to injury this stupid workstation only has one AGP Slot so I literally have to shut down my computer and replace the cards if I want to switch between them. Is there any patch or anything to fix this game with the Quadro FX1100?

Since I've switched to an HP Workstation xw4100 I've decided to Reinstall KOTORII because it's awesome. Installing was fine, Updating to 1.0b was fine . . . But when I click "Game" to start the game, I see the Logo's and the dude from the cover and then it goes to black and my curser turns into the funky teal curser and THEN I get a windows error and it crashes. I have tried EVERYTHING! I replaced Ms322.dll, I disabled sound, I took out the intro movies, I tried to set the affinity for all the related exe's to 1 processor, I downloaded the Update for multicore/hyperthreaded processors from windows, I have the latest DirectX, I set the compatibility to various other versions . . . I just can't figure it out. Nothing works. When I do Scan hardware everything's a green light except it gives a yellow warning to my graphics card. System Information: Operating System: Windows XP Home SP2 (I installed SP3 but I think it still says SP2) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: HP System Model: ?
