  1. Hello there.

I noticed that unfortunately this game suffers from a problem that while it may seem minor can get kind of annoying for those of us with multiple monitors.

When you move the mouse between screens it does not get stuck on the edge of the current screen. This means that instead of scrolling the game world to the side you get a tiny nudge and then you are moving your map in your other screen outside the game. For those of us who are used to screen edge scrolling this quirk makes this particular feature more or less unusable (luckily we can fall back on scrolling the map with the arrow keys).

This is by no means game breaking in a game like this (unlike say Company of Heroes 2, which I was unable to play due to this problem), but it would be nice if it could be resolved either way.

  2. Ah. Makes sense.

Has the Legendary drop rate truly improved significantly on the PC version since release? I know they say it has, but in action how noticeable is it? I had all kinds of toons (most up to at least lvl 40) way back then and I farmed/grinded with a 60 a fair bit and only had maybe 6-8 drop over 2-3 months and all those chrs.

I played over 100 hours in inferno before the patch where they started changing drop rates and had 0 lvl 60+ legendary drops.

Picking it up again a few days ago I have found 10 or more in less than 10 hours of play.

Part of it is an overall increase in legendary drop rate but it is also that they have made grouping better with improved magic find from more party members.

  3. The question is, are they good legendaries?

By plans, do you mean the crafting? I didn't know they had legendary for that. Last I played I think they were yellow/rare colored. Are you sure they were Legendaries, or did you mean Rares?

...but yeah, I'd kinda doubt the PC version would go that high for the gold Uniques. If that sort of console drop rate is average (vs. you just being really really lucky), that's a lot higher than even D2 ever was.

There are plans for crafting low level legendaries.

Its mostly useless and you dont tend to see them often because most people dont level more than 1 character to 60

  4.

Playing hardcore character was being totally dependent on AH. It really wasn't fun.

This is completely 100% not true at all.

That you need to use the AH to play D3 is a myth and this includes hardcore.

I have been playing self found hardcore since the first week of Diablo 3 (admittedly with a pretty big break inbetween now and then) and I have 4 living lvl 60s (barb, monk, wiz and dh). Most of them leveled to 60 in patches long gone when the game was significantly harder than it is now.

My main is a paragon level 22 (most of the time was spent playing before paragon levels were introduced) barb that I play in mlvl 2.

Looking at my gear its pretty bad by normal standards but it really goes to show that the AH is not a neccessity to play the game.

  5. Damn, the drop rates in the console version are really high. I just finished playing through normal, got about 20 legendaries, and two legendary plans. I wonder if these are the same rates they're planning to add to the PC version.

Unlikely, the console has no AH so they can keep the droprate higher on the consoles.

Obviously this sucks a bit for those of us playing self found.

  6.

because replaying the game with the same character is more or less pointless, as there are no choices to make when levelling up

Yeah, that was my problem with it too - well, outside of the original insane difficulty, which I hear they've totally gimped now. And the loot, which has at least improved at this point. But mostly that there was no appeal to creating new characters/starting over like in the previous games. Seemed made to have one of each character and when done with that, just sit around waiting for new content. Like an MMO.

Edit: Can't really blame them for that tho - it's sorta how a lot arpg's go now. eg, BL2 is kinda the same way.

There is an easy solution to the problem of not having to create new characters; play hardcore

  7. I think the delayed fullfillment site is slightly worrying because at least to me it creates doubt of the PE project management.

Remember when they said it would be done well before the end of the year (last year).

We are rapidly closing in on a 12 month delay essentially with no information on why.

Several high profile kickstarters have gone seriously over budget. Both Broken Age (double fine adventure) and Wasteland 2 have had to double their kickstarter budgets. Are PE facing the same problems? Are things taking much longer than expected and this is why the fullfillment site has been downgraded in priority?

There is another thread on this forum about how the PE kickstarter is the most well managed kickstarter out there and I have a real hard time finding any reason to think this is the truth. We know little to nothing about how well PE is tracking to internal milestones and one of the few dates we have gotten were for the fullfillment site which is seriously delayed. Obsidian have done little to say that anything would be otherwise.

Now I hope this is all a bunch of unfounded worries on my end and that the fullfillment site was just reduced in priority because they realised they simply didn't need it to be ready yet.

  8.

This time, Electronic **** won't be able to screw another Syndicate.

Funny detail: at least one of the devs from that new "syndicate" game is a backer of Satellite Reign :)

I hope he is doing it to clean up his karma.

I think the new Syndicate did alot of interesting things and it had its heart in the right place (like chipped people that are able to see pricetags on every buyable object in the gameworld, the mindless consumerist slaves that they are). Its just unfortunate that it had to be a FPS.

  9. Played a bit of TERA, started up an Amani Berserker.  So far that game is full of about as standard and generic kill X monsters and fetch quests as it gets.  On the positive side, the game has the best combat I've experienced in my (albeit extremely limited) MMO experience, it's miles better than most run of the mill MMOs.  Also, ridiculous furry fetish characters and impossibly gargantuan weapons aside, it's also the prettiest MMO I've ever played.  I'll pay it the highest compliment by saying that it simply doesn't look like an MMO.

The antropomorphic parts I can handle, the scary part of terra is the loli contingent, thats just really creepy.

  10. With all these rpg kickstarters going around i got inspired to go back and play one of the few major d&d crpgs that i missed: temple of elemental evil.

It's pretty hard but man there are some broken ass spells in 3rd edition. Sleep and web are just insane

  11. Dragon Commander inclusion

    • Every tier above 95$ as well as the 95$ digital tier receive a copy of Divinity:Dragon Commander. The physical 95$ tier does not get a copy of Divinity:Dragon Commander.
    • Lower tiers can get a copy Divinity:Dragon Commander by adding 40$.

They changed their mind then. In the last update they said that you needed to pledge more than 95 in order to get the free dragon commander. Now you have to pledge to a tier higher than 95. Might seem like a minor change but its 54$ (150-96) if you had no addons and even more if you had addons that pushed you over 95$

  12. I'm tempted to buy this since there's nothing else currently that interests me, but I've never played the previous installments.  Will I be lost?  Are they even connected?

They are thematically connected but you can easily play infinite without having played bioshock.
