My prediction is Romney doesn't get to run in 2016. He had enough trouble with the nomination this time around.
In fact I kind of think Chris Christie is planning on running, which makes his vocal support of Obama's Sandy response seem a bit suspicious. But that is just silly conspiracy talk.
Seriously though, the doom and gloom from the right is way overdone. These guys are not all that different to begin with, and the republicans still control the house. What really needs to happen is both parties put away the rhetoric and start working together. Congress seems to be the most dysfunctional workplace ever.
I'd take Christie for president, I admire a blunt politician.

Obama has been a mixed bag for me, as much as I want to vote for an alternative candidate... Romney just isn't the answer. Honestly what ARE his views? He has a history of being a moderate governor, last election and this one he's far right, with the exception of the first presidential debate where he comes off as moderate only to lean back to the right.

What I recall from reading D&D books was that some dragons are highly intelligent. We sadly do not get to see this side in games, I'd like to be able to negotiate with a dragon. They can still be bosses, but with more than the standard long drawn out battle to deal with them.
This. I want to learn from a dragon's centuries of wisdom over tea and biscuits.

This thread reminded me of that Ricky gervais skit.

Get well soon Malc, any type of bone injury sucks.

I voted for Call of Duty. 4 hour campaigns ftw!

Got through Sandy pretty well enough, though I had a close call with my neighbor's tree almost hitting my car.

I was lucky to get my electricity back this morning but a portion of the town I live in still doesn't have it. I hope they get it back soon, sleeping in a freezing house is a pretty miserable experience.

Just found out class is canceled for the next two days. Hurricane apocalypse, ho!

Tonight's lottery is $50 million, so the office is playing a pool. Exciting. In more exciting news, I've switched from NP++ to Sublime Text 2 as my editor, seems ok as far as text editors go, I do like the auto-completion of quotes and braces.
I wish all text editors did that.

I don't want the 90s back. I want to take a different path off the 90s than was taken.
The popular form of RPGs after the 90s followed a path through Neverwinter Nights to KOTOR and I think much of what we look at today can be traced to KOTOR. Cinematics, smaller parties, voice acting. That is no more the natural endpoint of all change than the idea that all hominid forms eventually become human.
If we look at the legacy of advanture games, we see the birth of survival horror and the path to Resident Evil 6. But we also the birth of action adventure games in the vein of Devil May Cry. (I've never been clear on the earlier Soul Reaver/Tomb Raider branch and where that split off) But we also see cinematic narrative games like Walking Dead and Quantic Dream's works. We see alternate paths such as Telltale's 3D adventures, retro titles like the Wadjet series, and even alternate branchings of survival horror in the Penumbra and Amnesia series. The fact that Amnesia isn't a retread of Alone in the Dark 1 doesn't mean it's at risk of being Resident Evil 6. You even see the warning signs back in Penumbra where you can kill the dogs, but they steppedback in sequels because they weren't aiming for the same path Resident Evil took.
Games can still change without assuming the worst.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Bravo sir.

I'd be too busy watching pigs flying by.
I'll join you.

None (other than the fact its an RPG). Make it stand out with what it can bring to the genre.

Does that mean the $4.0m stretch goal reward will be included in the final product as well?

Will this big success of over 3.6 million $ turn some heads over at the big publishers?
It might be a talking point in some board meeting but I'd doubt more unless the sales are good.
Will they try to take a slice from the pie?Taking would imply they had a stake in the so-called pie to begin with.
Will Obsidian be at a better negotiating position?Since they have their own IP that they can invest directly into and take a larger share of the profits from, and take some of said profits to invest into other new IPs. Yes. They will be in an astronomically better negotiating position. That is, if PE is successful sales wise.

$35. All I can afford atm.

I don't know, how dark would a combination of Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Swords, a dash of Diablo II, Witcher II, topped off with a scoop of pumpkin pie ice cream be?
edit: And no, I'm not implying some of the fantasy titles listed are "dark" in anyway.

I want one of those soccer jerseys.

Anyone played Jade Empire? They created an entirely new language for that game and it made the game sooooooooooooooooooooo much better for it. If they can afford/have time to do it I really hope they will.
You mean that gibberish was an actual developed language? News to me.

I vote for DA's UI as well.

There's no playback for these things is there? The ustreams are at inconvinent times for me and I'd like to be able to watch them.

Not the clunky UI that took up 2/3 of the screen. That's for sure.

You mean have a bunch of single issue focused parties all clamoring for a seat in senate/house? Nah.
A viable third party option would go a long way though.
