  1. I guess you missed all the DA2 threads about how bad it was over at Bioware Forums especially in the first few months, yes I replied in more then a few of those threads and finished DA2 as well, again nowhere near as good as DA IHMO. Comparing DA to DA3 are really different games,DS3 is so different in so many areas I would not even call it DS3,its not really a Dungeon Siege game at all. There are still a few good PC games around ie The Witcher 2. As long a PC gamers stand up and give constructive feedback to game developers there's always a chance of a decent game next time round.
  2. I think the point he was making is its dumbed down and not up to the older standards of the better PC games,I've to agree I would say DS3 is the worst of the bunch(I finally completed the game) ,it seems to be going like DA2 which again is another dumbed down game and far below DA or any good PC game. What's sad is when people try to defend games like this that are way below PC standards .
  3. I disagree since I've been a long term DS fan but feel DS3 is the worst, its not the story or graphics thats bad but camera angles, control and spam fest of dying every few seconds with Bosses(this is on easy mode) .I now feel this game was rushed out with lot of issues and I don't like the way they made DS3 as a game. Very disappointed in this game,I'm fighting the controls,AI as well as balancing issues. Never really had much issues with the Balancing and Bosses. You just have to learn the system. AIs also quite good (compared). Though if you play with the pc controls and don't get the hang of it I can understand. You can't remap PC keys since I normally use arrow keys rather then WASD so hit the wrong keys sometimes(not a big deal but annoying) no heal potions so you have to rely on your tank if you get killed but when he goes down thats it game over,my heals are not that great considering you get swamped by mobs etc more times then the tank so end up taking more damage then you can possibly heal, never played a game where you die so fast. Mouse cursor can sometimes appear to disappear from screen too especially if lot of action is going on. One word sums the game up for me,pure frustration,I want to get pass the boss but keep dying so nothing I can do,for the record I have completed games like DA,DA2,ME,ME2,Witcher 1 and 2 , even old classics like BG2 etc...

  5. Running fine with my 11.6s drivers, I have yet to have my first crash and I have been playing since yesterday, the next person that says could be ATI related I'll shoot them ; ),its not like DS3 cannot have bugs or is the perfect game. Anything overclocked or running in the background that could interfere with game?...Laptops need good cooling so make sure its not overheating.
  6. Still not unlocked yet for me,I have it on my games list and registered a few days ago, maybe after midnight for UK. Update:Preloading now
  7. Well its not like you can play it right now anyway,as you probably know I've my retail copy already but can't download or play it until its official release on Steam.
  8. How 'big' is the manual? It is very small ,ie 10 pages with print and last two pages with notes and lots of blank spaces plus Steam registration code on back of manual(so 12 pages). All the actual game content is covered in the first 8 pages. I also received a pre-order in game inclusive downloadable content code plus Square ENIX members registration card with code . This on the Limited Edition of DS3.
  9. I received my pre-order retail copy today here in the UK,it uses Steam (I registered it fine on Steam) however I can't download the full version until its release date so I've to wait until then,at least I can read the manual . I got mine from Shopto.net .
  10. Also check your key mapping in options,I have had the odd crash in both XP and Vista where it would reset the movement controls, reconfiguring the movement keys in options fixed the problem for me.
  11. Vista FUD again ,I have played it 3 times right through with Vista x64 with no problems, apart from the well known bugs that KOTOR2 has,I would make sure you have installed latest DX9.0c version on Vista,a lot of XP and Vista users forget that, btw its for all versions of Windows including Vista etc... I do know there were a few minor problems with some video cards. March 2008 latest DX9.0C download
