  1. I'll go on a limb and say that Mace isn't the best lightsaber fighter. Reading the aforementioned wiki page on Vaapad: 1. The Physical portion of the style is described as a series of open, disjointed moves, that while on the surface look unconnected they are, in reality, an effort to confuse the opponent. 2. The true power of Vaapad comes not from the actual motions, but from the whole mental thing, ie, the "superconducting loop"... That trick does 2 things for the user, it reflects all force attacks back upon the user, and it raises the practitioner's stats to match those of his opponent. So, a vaapad fight, to me, comes down to this: My strength / speed match those of my opponent. Therefore, I'll just flail my lightsaber around, deciding which way to aim my next attack based on how we end up from our last attack. On the off chance I have my saber inside my opponent's, I can just directly slash my saber through the enemy, and since I'm as fast as he is, he won't be able to block it... Now, onto the question of best dualist, the question boils down to "are we talking actual knock-down drag-off fight where the force is being used fully", or are we talking just a regular, swing the saber practice duel? Those are 2 different scenerios, the full fight where a consular can out-force the guardian (Dooku vs Yoda fight), or the saber-only practice which is dominated by your better swordsmen...
  2. Not sure if this has been done yet, but here goes: General Theoretical Configuration to KOTOR3: KOTOR3 primarily takes place in "force dead" regions of the unknown regions. All "New" planets with "new" (aka not seen in SW before) aliens (like Rakatan, Trandoshians, etc. Really need only approx 6 races if going with the usual starter world, 4 world, finisher world theme) Timeframe is 5 years (common SW timeframe) after KOTOR2, approx 10 years after KOTOR1... Opposition would be either the "true Sith", or, if LA won't go with that, the obligatory puppet empire of the True Sith with plans to attack the still rebuilding Republic. Said opposition will be primarily non-force sensitive due to lack of force at location, however, the option to use "Force stand ins" such as mental powers, mutations, fancy cybernetics that unleash lightning / wave pulses etc. to mimic Force abilities exist (and can possibly be adapted to "Jedi-fy" other PCs) Main PCs are Revan & Exile, with the Droids (T3 & HK, maybe G0T0, outside chance of Remote being sent to help Revan), along for the ride. Remaining party slots to be filled via "local aquisition" of PCs. Backstory should be written around "Canon", which, if I've read correctly, is LSM Revan DSF Exile. Plotline should be malleable enough to have 4 renditions (canon, LSR/LSE, DSR/DSE, DSR/LSE). Gender only affects he/she commentary & flashbacks to love interest, both relatively minor points in the execution of the plot, if even called for at all. Primary Motivations: LS characters seek to save Republic, DS characters seek to destroy / subdue / take over threat to preserve "their" Empire/Republic. In cases of cross motivations, the LS character sees DS character as necessary evil & redemption chance, while DS character sees LS character as tool & potential turned ally. This allows all 4 plot stories to be dovetailed together nicely... Levels/classes/skills: Revan - L1 soldier/scout/scoundrel (Player choice or culled from save) due to lack of Force & atrophy of original skills. Keeps uploaded stats / new Revan gets bonus points. Feats reset due to atrophy, possibly allowed to keep lightsaber use (and saber) due to extraordinary practice with it. Exile - Having severed ties to KOTOR2 party, the Exile is right back at where he started KOTOR2. Exile class is Player choice/culled from save, and starts game as only Jedi available. Brought lightsaber with him... Party to face aforementioned enemies: Revan, Exile, Droids (HK47, T3, G0T0, Possibly Remote as assistant to Revan / Exile much as he helped Bao-Dur) aboard Ebon Hawk, which brings group to the field. One "local" per planet is drafted into party, preferably all aliens (so 4-6 aliens, 2 main PCs, 2-3(4 if remote is a separate droid) for approx. 10 people in Party, just about the same amount as was in KOTOR2. Potential Plot Elements: Revan reprising leader of Mandalorian War war as he is attempting to ferment rebellion in unknown region, Exile comes along and helps Revan inspire the locals & is "field commander" aka General. Ways to give characters force powers, whether it's Exile's Wound passing around or being inflicted on someone else, finding ways to reconnect to force over long distances, Revan actually being a force battery and not knowing it till appropriately critical moment, removing the source of the region's force barrier, etc. etc. Explore the relationship between Revan/Exile's actions in Mandalorian War vs Jedi request / potential plans. Surprise visits by prior PCs - Canderous/Mandalore most likely, but any number of them can show up, like Carth bringing a ship / small fleet, Bastilla/Handmaiden-Diciple/Pick-a-Jedi's new council also heading out instead of replicating prior council's inactivity, etc. Oh, it'll be an X-Box 360 / PC exclusive...
