I am new to computer gaming. I own a macbook and I desperately wanted to play this game. The game freezes after the prologue where I get zapped into the Pillar. I have pieced together from tidbits from other threads that there's a patch to fix this. How do I download this patch? What happens after you get zapped into the pillar? I've got 123 minutes worth attempts at this task alone! The anticipation is killing me!

I'm in a different time zone and struggling to keep up with the time difference and tech speak (please be gentle). Is the patch out yet that fixes the crash after the prologue (for mac)?

The unfriendly but still correct answer could be "Bootcamp" you have a PC, the only thing mac about it is your OS and design. The friendly and my geniune advice. Wait for the patch tomorrow and don't bother with the beta patch! because the beta patch is still flawed and was used to test, some issues was resolved however, but since the patch is tommorow just wait for it. Thank you very much! I appreciate your friendly advice (and preparing me for the unfriendly advice hahahah). I'm in Australia so that means I'll still have to wait until tonight for the patch when you guys catch up for today. Thank you!

Hello all, Im quite new to Steam, PoEII being my first proper game bought through the platform. Therefore, Im not too tech savvy with its ins and outs. Every time I hit New Game and follow the game settings (Story or Classic modes, etc), it crashes with the title pop up. How may I play this game? Im on macOS High Sierra, 10.13. Thank you.
