  1. Xoti shouldn't have tried to convert Pallegina, and vice versa. It never works out.

So, to be clear- no, I would not be a fan of Pallegina taking a vulnerable moment in Xoti's life and using it to try to convert her to a particular point of view.

as I remember it (mind you..this is from a bugged game where half dialogues are missing) , Pallegina said something to Xoti , and that got Xoti all mad about it . (I only got Xoti reaction cose of the bug) . Then you can tell to Pallegina that 'Xoti lived her whole life with her faith and blahblah' or you can tell Xoti 'that pallegina belief aren't wrong and blahblah' .

even being a diplomat , Pallegina sneer at my watcher calling them 'naive' .

So if there is another dialogue with converting , I haven't seen it . Then again , Pallegina come off as an ass..and I can't stand someone who is butthurt for the whole voyage .

  2. Humm..

while we know (and some others do know ) about how fake are the Gods . I honestly dissaprove about the idea to change 'X' character belief .

The game isn't about removing religion cose Gods are fake! Look berath sent me with a token to prove it !

The charm of Xoti is her being a zealot . At least to me .

And Pallegina need an update , regardless . I like the whole 'Bonding' like sister sister and such (and yes sister instead of mother , don't think pallegina is that old) . But doesn't have to be about one belief .

I mean how would you feel if I suggested the opposite ? that Xoti convert Pallegina to her view of the gods ? Oh sure she know they are fake , but what if Xoti make this passionate speech about using them to inspire and heal the world and to bring hope and such . And Pallegina change her mind and wanna get closer to the God .

Again , I guess my point isn't about religion per se . But about changing a character nature . Like turning durance into an eotha lover . The charm of durance was all the hostilitie he had . you either loved him , tolerated him..or hated his gut . But it made durance..durance . If he changed in any way (like start shaving and washing...)...eww.....thats not durance ! LOL

Or yelling at Éder , enough that he grow a spine and leave and become a soldier again . It kinda kill his charm to some .

Hope I didn't offend anyone lol just my though . But I do agree that we could've used more banter between all the companions , deep connections even . And Pallegina..could be a bit more tempered , cose as she is..she come off as someone who need anger management .

  3. Kingdoms of Amalur was fun-ish, but I thought it really dragged. It's ridiculously full of stuff to do, but it's designed like an MMO where you go quest zone to zone as you level instead of just set off and explore.

But I was amazed at how huge it was. I got bored after the second area or so and decided to try training (running, letting the monsters aggro behind me) through to wherever. And it still took me forever until I hit a dead end.

I enjoy it very much..(unlike Skylame)...

and there were some good unique quest ! like the 'Seasons' one XD

  4. Am I blind or really no one yet mentioned Heroes of Might and Magic III ?

    well up to 4...

after that...I'm more inclined to say 'Tha **** is that ?!?!' lol

    but thats just meh :p

Edit: and I mean , yeah...Heroes of might and magic 3 is still beautiful as it was back when it came out . But so does , 2 and 4 :p

  5. that look good :)

The Spoiler section would fit , since you can expand and gush about characters without fear of spoiling anything .

The Portrait thread , is a good place if you wanna take a look at what peoples are using for their own portraits , or if you are looking for inspirations! (there are 3 threads..so lotta of portraits !) .

  6. I never experienced series like Mega Man or Metroid as a kid. I suppose it had something to do with me being located in Poland.

    Instead, there was...

    ...

    ...TURRICAN.

    turrican2(amiga).jpg

Boy did I love all of the Turricans back then.

    humm..

may wanna look up THE FALL..

Kinda like a newer version of the old . Great game!

  7. I would be delighted to have a camel pet with 'Spit' attack.

    and an angry Lama!

what we need actually , is more different kind of pet (for ranger and druid) . Something that isn't ground only . Something that fly , crawl....

Like in GW2...you got pet that swim ! sure...we don't actually swim . But..there are parts where there is water . For a pet that swim..it would attack faster .

  8. aged good..as in..still look good ? still fun after all these years ? Still playable...still run on a new pc ? :p

My SNES still look good! the one who aged badly would be meh lol don't think I can play all the classic I have like I did back when I was a kid XD

Kotor 1 and 2 still look good .

The civilizations games , still good . Even if graphic wise....since CIv2...gotten better and better , the new ones just don't give back some stuff you can only find in the old ones .

  9. Another Durgan's Battery, yes please. Not another Endless Paths where half the levels were just trash tunnels.

thats why I didn't care for the endless path...*sigh*...

Big deep dungeons are fun if they are well done . But a dungeon where one level is just push this button , kill this and pick that and run back over there and place it..and hope something happen ? Is not fun !

Give meh diablo 1 dungeon like ! yeah sure..some level didn't have much to them . But damn , it had more atmosphere and scaryness then the endless path ever did ! By the time I got to the dragon..I was mostly bored...

  10. liked and hated the underdark personally . Liked cose...so much tension! You shouldn't be there ! if they catch you..you are so dead !!!! and really..the forbidden lair of the dark elves.....make you wanna take pictures and say 'See! They exist and it was EVILLLLL!''

It was also fun , that backstabbing.....just delicious  :shifty:

but I didn't like how...it was timed . You gotta be there in 2 days blah blah blah...

great atmosphere though , love it .

Considering how Deadfire really lacked in Tensions...I say it need more then just the underdark . It need ALOT of the underdark .

cose side what berath tell you at the beginning....after that..it a smooth sailing . Take your time ! have fun , drink some !

    *shrug*....lack urgency , drama , angst...and such .

  11.

Oh god..let's hope not ! DAI sucked ! crappy loot , crappy vilain , crappy armors ...(well gameplay was fun and so were the romances) but thats about it . Open world filled with Codex to read.....booooring .

I wouldn't say DA:I sucked (for me anyway). It had many problems and weaknesses, true. I still found myself enjoying it though.

But anyway, what I would be hoping for is that Assassin's Creed Odyssey would be some kind of improved DA:I (just as already mentioned without the companions).

So I don't hope that it will be just like DA:I, but instead an improved and polished version of it.

And, damn, the more videos I watch about Assassin's Creed Odyssey the more hyped I get. It's very unusual for me to get hyped for a game of a video game series that I don't know. Normally I stick to my video game series, like the Infinity Engine games, or Dragon Age and Mass Effect. And I follow them loyally throughout the years (though I didn't follow Mass Effect into Andromeda).

Even when Pillars of Eternity came about, for me, it was just a continuation of the Infinity Engine games.

But Assassin's Creed is something new. Something unknown. A stranger. A wild card. I guess, that's partly also where some of my excitements comes from.

I be happy if I get a decent story..that keep me going ! feel like AGES since anyone bothered to write something good...

DAI story was boring...MEA story was very copy paste....

    Witcher 3 actually...story was good....but..yeah ..Geralda..

I'm mostly hoping just for that..give me a nice vilain to chase !

at least the combat look goood......

so do spartan wear anything under those skirt.... :shifty:  what ? gotta know

  12. What is Vromance? I can only find this about Vromance.

I don't know Titan Quest. From the games I have played, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey seems to resemble Dragon Age Inquisition most.

Dragon Age Inquisition had also very beautiful areas. Sadly, most of them were almost empty (with the notable exception of the Hinterlands). And the side quests were rather bland...

One major difference seems to be that there are no companions in Assassin's Creed? I could live with that though. I do like companions, but since I have played so many games with companions it will be interesting and new for me to play alone with just the main character.

oh..vromance is romance XD I just call it Vromance ..for some reasons...

Titan Quest is a hack'n slash game , you should check it out . Kinda similar setting (with old greece and mythologie creatures) .

Oh god..let's hope not ! DAI sucked ! crappy loot , crappy vilain , crappy armors ...(well gameplay was fun and so were the romances) but thats about it . Open world filled with Codex to read.....booooring .

I played Witcher 3 after DAI and it did alot of stuff I wish DAI did......save for being stuck as Geralda...that's one down side of witcher 3 .

yeah well...you never know . Maybe the companions will be 'Temporary' like they help during X quest then leave . Regardless..like you said , can live without them . As long as I get to smooche  :dancing:

Woot! something new to play!  :ban:

  13. What also caught my attention is Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. I have never played an Assassin's Creed game. But from what I have heard this game is going to be very different anyway from the predecessors in that it is going to be an actual RPG.

I also watched a few gameplay videos and I liked them a lot.

Not to mention the fact that the game is going to include... ROMANCES

    Oh boy...

And it looks really beautiful. Only problem I might have is my graphic card which is about 8 years old...

    hahahaha

Ok..today ya win tha cookie !

One of my friend been selling it to me this afternoon XD Never played an assassin creed myself..(heard about the females assassin creed but..the gameplay put me off..)...

But yeah...this one....is on the maybe..especially if my other friend get it . Told her..at least we get something new to whine about if it turn out to be crap  :brows:

It kinda remind me of an upgrade of Titan Quest (which I did like..cose..hello....Medusa babeh!)...while I don't care for all that spartan stuff , at least I get to play as female..and Vromance....and dialogues . So hopefully it won't be a dissapointement....

  14.

Par for the course in RPGs, really.

Geralt! Your beloved daughter is being purseud by the Wild Hunt! You must save her! Please potter around the countryside saving peasant villages from goblins for 85 hours!

I thought Witcher 3 did excellent job marrying open world with storytelling. While your goal was to find Ciri it was never that urgent, even at certain point giving you a story reason to not find her, and do the side stuff. Even to go further, I would say Witcher 3 storytelling improved by use of open world giving you more context to the place you spend your time in.

Another example of great open world game is Fallout:NV, which simply doesn't really have urgent main quest. And 1st two Fallouts which give you McGuffin to find and let you discover wasteland on your own.

    it did .

Mixing open world + Story doesn't mean every quest has to say 'Oh eotha passed over here ! Look at mah house ! Now fix it CHARNAME'

But the main story could be felt all over the place . And if it isn't , it can also be a 'reason' why you are going south instead of North . In the case of the witcher 3 , It felt right to do this and that..every place could hold a clue for ciri destination .
