  1. Um, what? This isn't a joke, Sand. Check the link to EB games. Or am I missing something here?
  2. (reads through the overwhelmingly enthusiastic responses) What's wrong, guys?
  3. http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?cookie%...uct%5Fid=647011 There's a thread over at the Bio boards. Obsidian (JE Sawyer): Please, please restore some of the OC game content before taking our 20-level chars to the planes. It's not too late to make this a TOTSC-style expansion. Edit: By the way, who decided to ship this... ...on September 11?!
  4. Hi Mr. Sawyer , Are you referring to community-made new heads, or official new heads? (At last, I shall fool him into revealing the expansion...MUHAHAHAHAHAH...)
  5. That is exactly my thought. If they were to restore cut content, there'd be extra XP to consider. Moreover, hitting level 20 didn't seem all that special. For one thing, the OC was too easy (I played puppet mode on Very Difficult). They really, really need to implement the IWD death system. Personally, I would have preferred it if the NPCs didn't automatically level up to your PC's level, when placed in your party. Part of the fun of BG2 was being able to take different NPCs on different quests -- using different quests to level up different characters. Having a party of mismatched levels just adds more personal flair to the game. - - - My apologies if it seems arrogant to assume things about game-making... But I would also think it's better, economically, to do a TOTSC expansion. Using existing resources to insert areas would be that much easier than designing all-new interiors or tilesets. Also, many people have expressed their dissatisfaction with the heads and hairstyles. If, to that end, OE added new heads and hairstyles, then most players would probably wish to start over, with a new char...this time with a good head.
  6. Greetings, I made this same suggestion on the Bioware forums. Basically, make an expansion that restores cut content to the existing campaign. It shows enough promise that it could end up being between BG1 and BG2 in its scope. Some commented that the game is already too linear to implement more quests, but I disagree. With a city like NW, there are all sorts of potential sources for sidequests: - NWN1 plot characters (Daelan, Aarin Gend) They could even have Grimgnaw's ghost appear and guide Khelgar in his becoming a monk. - NWN1 locations (the Academy, the Source Stone chamber, the Beggar's nest) - more quests involving the war b/w the Shadow Theives and the Watch - Callum could give you several more quests at Old Owl Well - West Harbour (Daeghun, etc.) - Helm's Hold is perfect for a NWN2 version of Watcher's Keep (it's even run by helmites). You could speak with Desther's ghost. I just don't want to see Team Gizka (maybe Team Beholder?) restore the cut content again.
  7. On the Bioboards, I suggested that they make a TOTSC-style expansion -- restore the cut content and add more quests to the current OC, before continuing with the sequel.
  8. Greetings, First of all, I want to say how impressed I am by OE so far -- talentwise and dedicationwise. However, there was one thing I'd like to see in NWN2 I don't see mentioned. Allow me to explain... (NWN2/ TSL spoilers) I thought that the pacing of KOTOR2's plot was the best I've ever seen in a game. One thing I love is having multiple plot threads at once. In TSL, we , for instance. The motives for this were a mystery at the time. These simple cutscenes can add layers of complexity and suspense to a storyline. I wish NWN2 had stuff like this. Seeing the Evil Villain yell at his incompetent minions doesn't add anything. They should have shown cutscenes of We kind of had this, with The most interesting cutscenes were: But OE dropped the thread in Act 2, which, for me, made the game that much less interesting. IMO, they should have kept numerous factions -- not just the KoS -- opposing the player. In future OCs, I would love to see more multiple plot threads going on at onc. Thoughts?
  9. Vote no. The amount they've accomplished in such a short development time is incredible. Wasn't NWN2's release date pushed ahead a year? Yet the game is playable. Unfinished. but playable. I can't wait for the expansion.
