  1. its only the best movie in the world o and agree
  2. hey, not everyone is perfect. :D
  3. what do u mean the music in kotor3 there isn't any, yet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> meant kotor2
  4. i say that we get some better music for Kotor3. The music in Kotor2 was 2 weak, boring, and was repeated constantly. I think it would be amazing to get someone like John Williams to do the music for Kotor3. Cause honestly the music makes the scene. John Williams KNOWS how to set the mood for scenes. Like when Anakin and Obi-Wan where fighting...i was amazed. I got so into it.
  5. You seem to forget that in Naga Shadow's bid for power he wiped out the entirety of the other lords. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> and when one falls another takes his place.
  6. Oh, come on. The "true" Sith is just a convenient term for the descendents of the Sith Empire that attacked the Republic under the command of Naga Sadow a little over 1000 years before the time of Ulic, Exar Kun and Revan. The whole thing is described in the "Golden Age of the Sith Empire" and "Fall of the Sith Empire" comic book series, if anyone is interested. We haven't heard anything about those Sith since Naga Sadow's invasion failed, but we know they're still out there, so they're a good and untapped resource for enemies in the KotOR games. They were also rather arrogant and racist about their racial purity, which is probably what "true" Sith is supposed to me - to those Sith both Malak, Sion, Kreia and DS Revan (and DS Exile for that matter) would all be "usurper" or "pretender" Sith, since they're not what they consider to be pure Sith blood. There is even some truth to that, since the term Sith comes from a humanoid race that the dark jedi expelled from the Republic enslaved and then interbreeded with. Still, by the time of KotOR, all fallen jedi are generally known as "Sith" no matter what their background - the term 'dark Jedi' doesn't seem to be used much anymore. Hmm, makes me wonder if the Jedi council (Vandar, Vrook, etc.) would consider Jolee to be a 'dark jedi' since he has clearly turned from what Palpatine would call the 'dogmatic, narrow view of the jedi'... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had thought the EU was pretty clear in saying that they all had been "wiped out". If thats true or not I'd hate to see them rehashed, they were plenty crappy the first time, no need to recycle that crappiness when Obsidian seems pretty capable of producing its own crap. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats cold
  7. lol and even though i have all the other kotor games i would not doubt me buying the limited edition as well.
  8. Lessee We have heard about the old sith because their great "empire" contained only korribon and that was pretty much depopulated. Naga Shadow at the end of the sith empire ran away to Yavin IV where he performed genetic experiments on his little helpers and actually made them into the Massasi we see in Dark Lords of the Sith and the Sith war. I would think that the Council would treat Jolee as an possible hostile, the jedi refer to those who try to take the galaxy as sith because that's what sith always did.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i would love to travel to a number of Sith Lords tombs for the next kotor, and learn the dark secrets that behold in the tombs. can you say true sith power
  9. that would be undoubtly amazing for the next game.
  10. I would pay more for a quality game For a good quality i would pay a good bit extra... if it was worth it

  12. i agree. I dont like the idea of"true sith" kinda interveins with the movies
  13. do u have AIM or AOL i would like 2 discuss this further, but hard on here.
  14. haha i dont even know what we are talking about anymore. So sorry, but im gonna get back on topic. I thought we were talking about you thinkin Revan is the whole story. K well im done with this cause im gettin rlly bored arguing about Star Wars
  15. yea, but u said "Darth Vader is dead, Revan lives" what does that have to do with anything? The killing of darth vader was the end of the saga... so just cause vader was dead doesnt mean he was still what Star Wars's story was based on. As with Revan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahh, The killing of Darth Vader ended the Sega, a Sega which is one of the main characters and remains so out of 6 films. You say that when Vader dies that is the end. REVAN isn't DEAD and KOTOR 2 continuies his story, and makes him apart of the the True threat of the next GAME. The True Sith, his True Enemy, his reason for doing all he did. To think he will not be apart of the game in a major form will basically make this Trilogy dumb as hell. I think you guys are looking at this from a RPG scale. It doesn't work that way, this is Star Wars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> omg no. What im trying to say to you is that even though Revan plays a huge part in KOTOR he is not the whole story. The whole story is based on either saving the galaxy or ruling it. Not Revan
  16. yea, but u said "Darth Vader is dead, Revan lives" what does that have to do with anything? The killing of darth vader was the end of the saga... so just cause vader was dead doesnt mean he was still what Star Wars's story was based on. As with Revan
  17. Saying the KOTOR series is "Revan's story" is wrong though, despite that stuff you wrote. Revan had zero impact on the actual events that happened in TSL. Revan wasn't the one who killed Sion, Nihilus and Treya. Revan wasn't the one who calmed the political strife on Onderon. Revan wasn't the one who found and gathered the Jedi Masters on Dantooine. The EVENTS of Revan's life are big parts of the overall story. Just like the EVENTS of Darth Vader's life will always be a big part of the Star Wars EU. But the stories themselves aren't necessarily about them. I don't think you're understanding the distinction I'm trying to make. Just because events Revan was involved in or caused to happen are mentioned and have SOME effect on the stuff we encounter in TSL, doesn't mean the entire story of TSL is about Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it wasn't for Revan the events of KOTOR 2 wouldn't have transpired. Was it not Revan who sent the Hawk back to know space with T3's information? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if it wasn't for Vader then where would r2d2's information be? you gotta understand that both are key roles in the story, but they are not what the whole story is based around. Read this Long before the Galactic Civil War, an epic drama begins. Engage in this saga set in the Golden Age of the Republic - over 4,000 years before the first Star Wars film, when both Jedi and Sith number in the thousands. With the Galaxy reeling from a recent conflict with the Dark Lords, the ongoing battle between the Jedi and the Sith rages on. Your actions determine the outcome of this colossal galactic war - and your destiny as a Jedi. it isnt saying anything about revans reign. luke was the last hope for the republic, as was revan in kotor1. They all play a role, but its not all based on revan, or vader, or luke

Darth Vader is dead, Revan is alive. Revan is still going on with his plan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well the story isnt over yet. Vader wasn't dead in Episode 5 and thats just about where we are in the story. 3rd installment.

  20. well thank you for your help. but i think i'll wait for the mod. :D
  21. This was posted before. And did it really need its own thread? You could have added it to the existing one. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1st: anakin you know what i have noticed. What ever anyone posts on this forum you argue it. So suck it with your 4,000 posts. What the hell do you do all day? 2nd: im not gonna post it in different threads when not everyone will look at MY post. Smarter 2 post it in the open. 3rd: I promise you that not everyone on this forum has seen this. So thought i would be nice 4th: get laid and get a life. Thanks :D -Matt
  22. i want more than a reasonable story. Im picky.
  23. KOTOR isn't about Revan. It's about the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic and their struggle against the Sith. If it was about Revan, then KOTOR 2 would have had him as the PC, but it didn't. Not to mention the majority of the story had nothing to do with Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No just everything behind KOTOR 2's story is about Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not really. Kreia's motivations weren't about Revan. The Exile's motivation for seeking the Jedi Masters weren't about Revan. The political crisis on Onderon wasn't about Revan. The main focus of the story was how the Mandalorian and the Jedi Civil war affected various people. Revan was involved in that, but so were a bunch of people. You could argue just as much that the story was then about Malak, since he's the one that destroyed Telos and Dantoine, making those worlds unstable. Revan's part of the story was only highlighted at the end to give the story some "where did Revan go?" oomph to it. The vast majority of the story itself had to do with the characters' past and how they were dealing with it. Saying the KOTOR series is about Revan is like saying the Star Wars EU novels post-RotJ were about Darth Vader. He's mentioned a lot, his actions are commented a lot, his affect on the galaxy is remarked upon. But each individual novel in the EU, while mentioning the above about Vader, were NOT about Darth Vader. Same with KOTOR. Revan's actions are mentioned, Revan's actions have long lasting effects, but the STORY is not about Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As the True Sith are the True enemy of the game, Revan is the true hero of the games. Everything that has transpired in the games is mostly of his doing. As it was in his devine plan to destroy the True Sith. Who themselves have done a grand job of hurting and destroying everything that could stand in their way without even making one simple attack. And who has gone to stop them if not Revan. This is Revans story because it's his failure, his war, his sacrifice, his lose. The True Sith were behind the Mandalorian Wars, badly damaging the Greatest army in the Galaxy. Revan found out about this enemy, and made a plan to stop them. To fall to the Dark Side, and conquer the Galaxy so that a grand army would prevail against this great enemy. However his plans went ill when he was captured and given a new memory. He in the end destroyed the very weapon he needed to beat the True Sith, the Star Forge. Now as he has slowly gotten is memory back, he now has to deal with his ultimate failure. Revans plan didn't end up being the Win Win situation he had thought it would be. The Mandalorians are weak, the Republic is weak. In this time Revan knew that only he now was enough to stand in the True Siths way. So he left for the Unknown Regions, and hoped that Canderous and Carth would do their part to make sure the Galaxy remained safe and prepared. However Still Revan is gone, and now thanks to the Exile and Kreia the Jeid and the rest of the Malak/Revan Sith are destroyed. With a Handful of Mandalorians and a small Republic fleet in the way. Who knows what shape the Senate's in. So like it or not Revan is a big part of the story, for he is the reason the story goes on. Exile and Kreia just feel the middle part of the story, and in fact feel in the loose end part of the story. The story on a broader scale is about Revan and the True Sith. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what the hell are you talking about. go outside
  24. yup... but hey it doesnt say anything about BEING Revan. So thats a plus.
