I uninstalled and reinstalled and now the game plays normally. Its a rather time consuming and expensive in terms of redownloading all that data but it works now for me anyway!

Me too! Game was working some weeks back but not anymore. I got the game via Game Pass. What do I do pls? :(

I'm getting the same error just now and no solution works Multiple clicks and a delay then a click registers. I've tried windowed/full screen/disabled steam overlay etc, same issue. What to do? Edit: went round the issue by loading the game in administrator mode. A rather dangerous solution!!
