  1. Hey dev's I know this is really almost to early to ask but I was wondering if and or when patches become available will there be another way of getting then other than having xbox live? I personally don't have access to a highspeed connection and I can't get a credit card so it would be nice if the updates (if there are any) would be offered on CD or DVD.

I'm pretty sure that's up to Lucasarts.

    ok thanks for the info.

  2. yeah for those of you who have a high speed internet connection and a credit card, I know someone is going to say that you don't need a credit card but for those of us in canada there is no other way of getting live and the updates I hope Obsidian will offer the chance to get update via CD or DVD.

Well, I think that PC gamer frequiently includes patches and such in their preview CDs, so if PC-gamer is being sold in your country, that's a way to get it.

right now my PC is a POS so if I hope to get updates for the PC version I would first need to make my PC capable of running the game. But I was wondering if the devs might make it so that gammer's books like XBN or other such books would have offer the updates or offer them on the obsidian site via mail order, what ever it takes to get the updates out to the rest of us who live outside the urban area or cities. and who don't have a CC for reasons that don't need explaining at this point in time. I guess I should take the time and money to upgrade my computer before its too late :D and thanks for the info too I didn't know that PC gamer had the updates for the original so I guess its true you learn something new every day :D

  3. Or, on the flip side, if you play the game on the dark side, doesn't it seem like your purpose would be to finish the game as THE Sith Lord, and you and your apprentice would begin the practice of always having the Sith Master and Sith apprentice?

Only if you changed your name to Darth Bane and traveled in time 3000 years into the future.

That's a thing about KOTOR: the Sith practice of having an apparentice is there then, but as far as I know, Bane decided that it should not go beyond that, which is seems to do in KOTOR; as soon as the Sith is judged ready, he/she goes on, or kills his/her master to go on... and in the earlier case, the master just take another apparentice.

Except that Bane also decided there will never be more than a maximum of 2 Sith at all times. As KOTOR2 shows, there were multiple Sith Lords at the same time during its time frame.

I think if I understand it correctly the rule of two implies that the master can't have more than one apprentice. mind you I could be way off anyone know if I am right or wrong on this?

  5. Holy hell, I just hope Lucasarts doesn't rush it too much to cash in on christmas.  I'd rather have it later than done poorly...

Even if that should happen, there's always patches...

  6. I think we should have been able to take control of the Laviathon (sp?). Then we could have still used the Hawk to go down to the planets kinda like a cargo pod or a transport ship. Or even sell the hawk... which would explain why revan doesn't have the hawk anymore.

  7. You can't compare movies to a game.

you can but only if you look at the things that are (or atleast should be) the same.

    1. Character devlopment

    2. Story line

    3. Sound quality

things like the above can transverse the gap between movie and video game. so as long as what you are using to compare the two can't only be used to gauge one or the other then you can accurately compare the two with a certian degree of precision.

  8. I'm intersted in hearing anyone's views on either of the following.

    1. How do you feel about the prequel trilogy so far as compared to the original trilogy?

    2. Which storyline do you like better, the prequels' or KOTOR's?

    3. If (like me)you have been disapointed with EP. 1 and 2, do you think that it's possible that the third flick could save the trilogy.

    4. Would you like to see more Star Wars films after this trilogy is complete?

    Please explain yourselves. Thank you.

    1. Sucks monkey butt - GL took the use of XF too far and made the movies really drawn-out and lacking much of what made the originals so good.

    2. KOTOR - a much better look into the starwars universe and a closer similarity to the original ideal of the original movies.

    3. NO - the only was is if GL turns the project over to someone with a clue. That is the only way I can see it even being tolerable.

    4. Yes - only to see if GL will use whats left of his grey matter and try to return to what made the first movies so good.
