  1. Hm, I'll take that into consideration. Sounds like I could get a lot of fun out of the original NWN too, and i've recently been on a Black Isle/Bioware RPG binge so it'd be fitting. Either way, I need something to fill the void when Burning Crusade comes out. Rich single player experiences are so much more satisfying, and so much less life-consuming.
  2. Favourite game of all time quite possibly. Though it does feature one of the funniest pieces of voice acting ever in a game; Jock: Oh my god JC, a bomb! JC: A bomb!
  3. Why buy the original over the sequel? PS on the topic of game/forum crossovers, don't tell me they named volo in BG after you
  4. Encouraging. The apparent sameyness of the original was something I was hoping would be improved on, I'll await more in depth reviews.
  5. Hey Gromnir, are you that poster from the Bioware forums that they named the boss after in Throne of Bha- Oh yes! You are :D Anyway, I am just beginning to get hyped up about this game. Never really played NWN1 (my computer was too **** even though I was on the beta), heard the tilesets were way too limited. But the prospect of making my own campaigns is alluring indeed..
  6. I had the sense not to read a thread called 'What happened to the Nameless One ?' when I was playing through the game, I can't imagine anyone else would I'll keep that in mind in future anyway
  7. I just completed the game.
  8. Aha, solution! I realized I had done a full install originally and still had the old CD files on my comp. I redirected the ini file to them and I can now enter the mortuary. Pretty lucky. Thanks once more.
  9. Okay, thanks for all your helpful suggestions people. I've tried deleting the cache, reinstalling, patching the unofficial patch, no wash. When I tried to start a new game it couldn't even load from the start, which is especially confusing. It suggests the area file on the CD is corrupted, yet I hadn't used it since i first installed the game at which point the mortuary worked fine. So the only thing left to try is the cheat codes, but everything seems to suggest the mortuary itself is a no-go area with my computer for some reason. Thanks again, any more help would again be appreciated.
  10. Ah yeah, I already applied the official patch. I haven't applied that patch yet because it says that when you do you have to start a new game? Did I read that wrong?
  11. Oh, sorry, forgot to mention: 4 disc
  12. Hi all, I've been playing through Planescape and have come across a fairly major problem which seems to be quite widespread. This seems like the right place to ask about it, tell me if this is the right forum for the question. I've just found out I have to go back into the Mortuary. However, whichever way I try to get inside leads to a crash on the loading screen: be it Pox, death, asking a guard... Anyone that knows a patch or solution to this would be much thanked. Also, I'm relatively unspoiled for the story in this so if those could be avoided, double thanks.
