Alright, you twisted my arm. I concede! to Bastilla: "Remember when you were being all angsty and calling me 'master' in that slinky voice of yours? Yea can you go back to that? I was thinking we could explore new possibilites with the force." Nothing 'wrong' with her, but I think the Jedi Code really messed her up and that she has trouble coping with emotions well. I mean, she had to go skinny dipping in the dark side to get her head on straight in regards to Revan. Even there, after Revan said "Hun, put down the bad drugs and come come", she basically tried to kill him. She was all pissy cuz her dark temptress routine failed. Not that Im surprised. How many classes on seduction do you think she had on Dantooine? Bastilla: "Hey Revan, look at me being the bad girl I always wanted to be! Come play 'take over the galaxy' with me after you um...play with me!" Revan: "Are you done yet?, Now, come be a good girl." Bastilla: -Pout- "But I wanna call you Master in a sultry voice!" Revan: "Are you done yet?, Now, come be a good girl." Bastilla: "I went all evil and emo for you! How dare you choose morals over me!" Bastilla tries to kill Revan. Revan puts Bastilla in her place. Bastilla: -pout- "Im gonna go play with Mr Malak!" -flies off- Revan to himself: "Right, I need to go kill him now, he's messing with my Mojo." Yup, if this is what the Jedi Code brings you then no wonder there were so many Sith. -

Bastilla and Revan as a Jedi masters. Well, that would explain why the Order was so screwed up by the time of the movies. Bastilla is great, and if she was real I'd love to have her as a best friend, but she really isnt all that stable. Then again she may resolve her issues (or cancel her subscriptions). -

I thought advancment was based on grasp of the force, acomplishment, and most importantly emotional stability. I get the feeling that the former of those would prevent Bastilla from ever being a master. I could be wrong though. -

yeah but I choose Revan to be a female so I don't even want to know how that would work <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Carth and Revans? Heh...if its DSF then her and Carth got intimite more times then we thought. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...like Carth would have had a choice in the matter. -

It did? There may have been Jedi, but there was certainly not any order. Im really not sure that when the Order fell apart that Bastilla and Revan would feel obligated to deny each other. Heck at the end of KoToR it never even suggests that they stop their romantic involvment. Just playing devil's advocate here  -
I think its kinda hard to say that she would be a Jedi over a Sith without the interferance of Malak. She was already on the fence before her and Revan started flirting. As an example, how she had thought that she would be elevated to Master to train Revan and she always had that 'holyier that thou' bit going for her. When she started to embrace her emotions for Revan it was just one more brick from the wall (ok, half the wall fell into rubble), and thats after a life-time of having 'emotions are bad, mmmmk' drilled into her skull. I mean, sure Malak tourtured her, but ultimately she is the one who chose to accept the dark side, and I think that she did it so that she could embrace what she felt for Revan. While you can say that love saved her, it could also be argued that love condemned her as well. In the end we are also not sure where that led to even as a Jedi. There were certainly no suggestons that they were going to call things off just because they decided to save the Republic over walking all over it. Thats even compounded by how the Jedi Order broke apart between KoToR and TSL. I think the biggest theme of KoToR and TSL was questioning and exploring the flaws of the Jedi Code, and that Bastilla was a very important analogy for that theme. Had the Jedi Code not pushed away her emotions, then she would not have been pressured into discarding them. Also, by trying to discard emotions, you become more succeptible to them when they become stronger. There is a difference between not feeling emotions, and not letting your emotions cloud your judgment. Ultimately in the end, I think that she found a balance between her feelings and her morality. Thats what Bastilla represents to me. /rant off

I actually liked her better as Dark Side than Light Side, even in TSL. Bioware just did a very good time to get the player to make an emotional bond with her in most cases. I think that is partially due to the back and forth between the DS/LS and her still exploring her own morality. To me that helped to make a connection to the character. I also liked how she was the prodigous, but flawed. It made her more human to me.

Who is to say that Revan and the Exile would work together. Especially if one was dark side and one was not. As far as who her child could be, it would likely be a new personality or NPC (or even PC?). I also think that it is explained that Reven needed to go to the outer rim to do something personal, and it mentioned that Bastilla chases after him. It may be that he left shortly after conception and never knew about the child. Again, just throwing out the possiblilty. -

The scenes of her on Carth's ship was for the Lightside choice. If they were both Jedi then I doubt that they would share in that kind of 'ahem' quality time. Also IIRC the darkside choice suggested that he stayed at the Sith Academy for a year or two before moving on. In the holocron Bastilla mentions that she is going off to try an find him. Its possible that in 2-3 years they could have conceived and given birth to a child. -
Yup, then she jack slaps you for objectifying her and her bf/husband finished what she started. Yup, that would be a great day indeed

Thats why i said if you are allowed to choose if Revan went dark side at the end. Then it would make sense. In Kotor 2, If you choose Revan to have gone dark side, in the Sith Academy it is shown that Revan and Bastilla spent quite a bit of time together. In the same bedroom no less =). With that precedent, I dont think its outside the bounds of anyone's imagination. Heck, if I had been a pent up Jedi and then fell, and now passion is good and fun; then I know what I would be doing. Just saying. -

I dont think that we will hear much about it until after nwn2. Obsidian is a very talented company, but IIRC not a very large one. It might be that they have started storyboarding and concept art for Kotor3, but dont want to make an announcment in order to keep that buzz about nwn2 healthy. As far as things that I would like to see in Kotor III: If dark side Revan is a choice, then I would like to see his and Bastilla's Child be in the game. Possibly as an apprentice to or fellow student of the PC. -
Bastilla, because she is the bad girl trying to be good (or is it she good girl wanting to be naughty?), and because of the VO actress' accent. I've been tempted to get a recording of dark Bastilla calling Revan 'master' as a boot up sound for my PC. Canderous hit it on the head when he called her a 'Jedi Princess'. BTW: Bastilla seems to be the only person to be able to resist the physical ramifications of the dark-side. I want that feat!

I cant find it now, but in one of the NWN2 interviews from E3 one of the developers was asked what project they would like to work on after NWN and kotor 3 was mentioned as a posibility. (...or something to the effect there of.) Im not sure if this is old news or not, but wading through some 20 threads of 25+ pages seemed a bit daunting.
