  1. Lego Star Wars is listed as a fall 2006 release and Indiana Jones in my opionion should in no way conflict with sales of another Star Wars game. So I am hopefull that if Knights of The Old Republic 3 is still on Lucas Arts to do list, we should hear something about it before the close of the Tokyo Game Show in September. Actually, I dont understand the logic of waiting for Lego Star Wars 2 because they would be at least a year apart in release anyway if Kotor 3 hasnt even started production like Feargus said. Besides, Lego Star Wars is for a younger market then the Kotor series.
  2. Is that why Lucas Arts made Lego Star Wars Two before Kotor 3 ? Also, Lucas Arts didnt even say anything about the game at E3...then we get Feargus email saying Obsidian has not started making the game as of yet. Lucas Arts so far doesnt seem to brilliant to me.
  3. Useless ? On the thoughts & ideas part I agree with you, to many meswsages for Obsidian or Lucas Arts to look at BUT from a marketing perspective I strongly disagree. What I mean is, the stronger the appearant interest/demand for any product or service incxlusding a certain video game, the more the risk of losing money has been reduced and the more likely the product will make money. While their are no gaurantees, if both Obsidian & Lucas Arts see overwhelming demand from their bread & butter customers for Kotor 3, they dont have to read all the hundreds of replies to know this is almost a sure money maker for them. While Lucas Arts has accourding to Feargus not made a commitment yet, do you really think they will ignore overwhelming demand for a game that will almost certainly be a huge sellar on the X 360 and make them tons of cash ? One email to Lucas Arts will not make a difference, but if someone could post a link here to the right person at Lucas Arts, maybe hundreds or even thousands of people telling them if you give Obsidian permision to make it, we will buy it, well that might get their attention.
  4. Yes, rumors mean NOTHING !!! What does mean something, probably the most significant thing on this thread is the email reply to another forum members inquiry of Obsidian spokes person Feargus Urquhart who said Obsidian IS NOT currently making Kotor 3. I find that statement very troubling 18 months after Kotor 2 s release on X Box and Kotor 3 is not even starting production ??? Its one thing to speculate the reason the game wasnt at E3 was because its in early production and their was nothing yet to show BUT its quite another thing to find out no plans to make Kotor 3 have even started yet!!! It is enough for me to give up hoping for any information from Obsidian after Feargus email. But to me this means we need to pressure Lucas Arts to make a damm decision. Excuse me for swearing a little but Im angry about this. If Obsidian has not started making Kotor 3 so long after Kotor 2 came out, then it is not Obsidian holding things up, its Lucas Arts who owns the rights to the game. They need to make a decision for a game that will probably take a year & a half for Obsidian to make AFTER Lucas Arts says yes....if & when they do.
  5. I think he is refering to people like me bringing up reality about K.O.T.O.R. 3 s prospects of getting made. Well he is entitled to his opionion as I m entitled to mine and mine is on tryin to find out if their will be a K.O.T.O.R 3 to have thoughts & ideas about in the first place. After the events of the last couple weeks; first K.O.T.O.R. 3 not even getting a mention at E3 and then a spokes person from Obsidian coming on this thread the other day and TELLING us they are NOT MAKING K.O.T.O.R. 3 at least not as of yet. I think because of those two things people who feel as I do have just as much right to their thoughts & ideas as you. For example, it was an idea to get Obsidian to comment here, and as much as I HATE what they told us, I m glad at least they told us the truth instead of brushing off the subject. Here is another idea, if anyone knows of an email address with a person to contact at Lucas Arts to have as many of us express an interest in K.O.T.O.R 3 with them as has been done with Obsidian lately maybe the game will actually start getting made. If you have that information pleaese post it here for us so we as customers can help..or should I say pressure Lucas Arts decide to give Obsidian the go ahead on the game.
  6. O.K., So what we do know is we want K.O.T.O.R. 3. Obsidian has now officially debunked the IGN rumor and Lucas Arts HAS NOT given them the go ahead to make the game. I am upset about George Lucas choosing to develope Lego Star Wars 2 before even talikng to Obsidian about K.O.T.O.R. 3. I went to the official Lucas Arts site to see if they had a chat room like this one so I could ask the same question that another forum member posed to Obsidian a few days ago here and I couldn t find a chat room on that site to ask the questions all K.O.T.O.R fans want an answer to which is will you make the game and if so when and if not why not ? By the way, thanks to the forum member who emailed Obsidian for an answer and thanks to Obsidian for taking the time to answer, I only hope Someone can get George Lucas to do the same sometime soon.
  7. Well, that sucks. So, the IGN story was b.s. but to be fair, they called it a rumor. This game is one of the main things I was looking forward to when I chose X 360 over P.S. 3.
  8. If this message board is monitored by Obsidian, would it be possible to get them to comment on IGN saying they believed one of the games being worked on is rumored to be K.O.T.O.R. 3 ? I have never seen such popular demand for a game go without comment by the developer this long. Surely the reason Obidian moderators insisted all topics dealing with K.O.T.O.R. 3 go on one thread is because of the overwhelming responce this game is getting and it isn t even annouced as official yet !!! What possible reason could Lucas Arts have for not making this game ? Surely they don t believe it would not make them money do they ?
  9. Yes, I brought this up earlier, but why if this story dated February 1st by IGN is true didnt we hear one sngle word about this from either Lucas Arts or Obsidian at E3 ? I still am hopefull that the game might get made, but after the silence at E3 I am skeptical that what IGN printed was anything more then a rumor that isn t true....at least not as of yet. Les
  10. Would you say then that its unlikely we will hear anything at the Tokyo Game show or even the rest of 2006 ? I will admit that I would be skeptical that the game would ever get made if we hadn t heard anything going into 2007. Les
  11. I hope you guys are right in assuming the game will get made, I really do, but what I d really like to know is since K.O.T.O.R. 2 came out for X Box at the end of 2004 in the U.S., why is Lucas Arts focusing on Lego Star Wars 2 first when the first K.O.T.O.R. game was a game of the year ? Also why has Obsidian said nothing about the game a year and a half after the second game came out ? Certainly, if George Lucas wants the game, it will get made but how long must we wait to at least hear something officall from Either Lucas or Obsidian ? Les
  12. Again, lets confirm the game will be made first.. I am still waiting for a sequel to Shemue 2, a game that was made 4 years ago. Thwe longer it takes to make a sequel to a game, the more I worry it might not get made. Les
  13. Hello everyone, This is my first post here which happened because I am starved for news about K.O.T.O.R 3 and I am extremly bitter at Lucas Arts for not throwing us a few crumbs of information at E3 and instead they talked about Lego Star Wars 2. Cute kiddie games aside....I couldnt give a rats ...never mind Anyway, even if Obsidian wants K.O.T.O.R. 3, it is still a Lucas Arts property, the game will not be developed by Obsidian or anyone else unless/untill George Lucass pulls the money bag trigger & says yes. Speculating about what you want in the game is fine BUT first, lets worry about the game getting made. The X Box version of K.O.T.O.R. 2 came out in November or December of 2004 and its past the middle of May of 2006 without so much as an official hint that the game will get made. If Obsidian had been given the go ahead to start development for George Lucas, surely we would have heard about it at E3. Their is a little news blurb dated February 1st. at the IGN site when you try to put K.O.T.O.R. 3 on your games wish list that says game developer Obsidian is working on 3 un announced titles and one of them is rumored to be K.O.T.O.R. 3. But again, why didnt Obsidian or Lucas Arts bring this up at E3 if it were true ? Les
