UPDATE: As of the latest patch, the issue is still present. Does anyone have any advice for this issue?

Hello, I have been having an issue in game where my Quest Mode is acting as a second Story Mode and I was wondering what is the best way to resolve this issue without erasing my first Story Mode characters. This bug has been present for months now and doesn't seem to change at all between patches. I had posted about it in June, but got no response. Tried deleting the Quest Mode characters, but no real change. Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue and get Quest Mode game play again? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Here's a fun one: My Quest Mode has BECOME Story Mode as of this most recent patch. Whereas previously my party could gain experience points and would go to random areas with a selection of any of the three difficulties, now it has "converted" my party to one that lacks any experience and makes progress through the normal adventure decks. Going to Story mode has my regular parties (two of them) that I had made previously, whereas pressing Quest Mode gives me my Quest party without permitting access to choose the Story Mode parties. It is as if both buttons are just different instances of Story Mode. I used Seelah, Seoni, and Merisiel as my quest party originally, then removed Merisiel for Harsk and tried to forfeit a match to see if it would give me an option to pick a second party. No such luck. (p.s. thanks for the game i love it)
